Impact Allen will get a second straight start after making 31 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over Washington Saturday. He stopped 61 of 71 shots in two outings versus the Sabres last season en route to a 1-1-0 record.

Impact Gallagher potted his first goal of the season during the second period in a style befitting him, that is to say it wasn't pretty. Impact Allen was the difference maker Saturday, so much so that he earned the game's first star for his efforts. The crowd at the Bell Centre spent a chunk of the third chanting his name. Allen made several outstanding saves, thwarting Alex Ovechkin five times to keep him goalless on the season. It was a great rebound effort for Allen, who wasn't at his best Oct. 11 in a 6-5 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.

Cole Caufield - Points in every game this season Caufield scored a goal and added an assist in a 3-2 overtime win over Washington on Saturday.
Impact Caufield went stick side from the left circle on Darcy Kuemper just 47 seconds into overtime to seal the win. The Wisconsin native has picked up at least a point (three goals, two assists) in every game this season. Caufield put up 26 goals last season in just 46 games, and he's firing shots at a greater rate to begin 2023-24. If he can stay healthy, Caufield has the potential to top 40 goals.
