ImpactAho opened the scoring just 1:30 into the game. It was his 17th goal and 54th point in 44 contests this season. Aho is on a seven-game scoring streak in which he's supplied two goals and eight points. The 26-year-old has also recorded at least a point in 13 of his last 14 appearances while supplying five goals and 24 points, which makes him one of the hottest forwards in the league.

Antti Raanta - Earns 11th win of 2023-24Raanta saved 23 of 25 shots in a 3-2 win over New Jersey on Saturday.
ImpactRaanta allowed two goals on 10 shots in the third period but held on to win the contest. He improved to 11-7-2 with a 3.14 GAA and an .869 save percentage in 22 contests this season. Vitek Vanecek - Makes 11 saves in reliefVanecek stopped 11 Hurricanes shots in a relief appearance during a 3-2 loss to Carolina on Thursday.
ImpactVanecek entered the game early in the second period after Nico Daws surrendered three goals on 12 shots. With the Devils down 3-0 when Vanecek entered the contest, he ultimately wasn't charged with the loss. The 28-year-old netminder has a 16-7-2 record, 3.21 GAA and .885 save percentage in 28 outings this season. Daws has been struggling lately, which increases the chases that Vanecek will get the nod in Saturday's road game versus Tampa Bay.

Nico Daws - Pulled in loss to CarolinaDaws stopped nine of 12 shots before being pulled in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Carolina on Thursday.
ImpactDaws was replaced by Vitek Vanecek early in the second period. It's been a rough stretch for Daws, who has now lost his last four appearances while allowing 14 goals on 108 shots (.870 save percentage). That drags his 2023-24 totals down to 3-5-0 with a 3.43 GAA and an .895 save percentage across eight contests. Vanecek's struggles have created an opening for the Devils' starting gig, but Daws hasn't proven that he's a good option either.
