Ryan Poehling - Nets goal in winPoehling generated a goal in Wednesday's win over the Hurricanes.
ImpactThe goal was Poehling's first tally of the season. He has just the one goal and one assist in 13 appearances this season. He played 17:18 in the contest, a notable bump from his average of 11:59. His fantasy value is very limited, but if he can continue to see increased minutes, he could be worth monitoring in deeper leagues.

Stefan Noesen - Supplies only offense in lossNoesen scored his fourth goal of the season in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Flyers.
ImpactThe veteran checking forward spoiled Carter Hart's shutout bid midway through the second period, blasting home a one-timer on a pass from Tony DeAngelo, but it was all the offense Carolina could muster. Noesen has found the back of the net three times in the last seven games, and on the season he already has 10 points through 16 contests. The 30-year-old is coming off a 2022-23 campaign in which he delivered a career-high 13 goals and 36 points in 78 games, and while he is part of the second power-play unit right now, this is still a heady pace for Noesen given his fourth-line role at even strength.

Pyotr Kochetkov - Falls to PhillyKochetkov stopped 21 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Flyers.
ImpactPhiladelphia grabbed a 3-0 lead inside the first minute of the second period, and while Kochetkov shut the door the rest of the way, his offense couldn't put together a comeback against a suffocating Flyers defense that blocked 30 shots on the night. The 24-year-old netminder is just 1-4-0 through his first five starts this season with a 3.10 GAA and .876 save percentage, but with Frederik Andersen (illness) sidelined indefinitely, his spot on the NHL roster as Antti Raanta's backup appears to be secure -- at least until Jaroslav Halak, who signed a PTO with the Hurricanes earlier this month, shows he's ready for game action.

Travis Konecny - Pots game-winner against CanesKonecny scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over Carolina.
ImpactHe also added four shots on net, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating to his ledger. Konecny potted his 10th goal of the season on a slick re-direction of a Nick Seeler shot from the point inside the final minute of the first period, giving the Flyers a 2-0 lead, and Carter Hart took care of things from there. Despite his early goal-scoring prowess, Konecny only has four assists through 16 games to begin the campaign, but he's rounded out his producion with 52 shots, 32 PIM and a plus-6 rating, an impressive defensive showing for a player who hasn't been in the black in plus-minus since he was a 20-year-old in 2017-18.

Carter Hart - Nabs win in return to creaseHart made 31 saves in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Hurricanes.
ImpactThe 25-year-old netminder had missed five straight games with a mid-body injury and a bout of food poisoning, but Hart looked sharp in his return and saw his shutout bid snapped midway through the second period on a one-timer by Stefan Noesen from the top of the faceoff circle. The Flyers also made life a bit easier for their goalie by blocking an impressive 30 shots on the night. Hart is thriving in coach John Tortorella's tight system, and he sports a 2.34 GAA and .921 save percentage to go with his 5-3-0 record through nine appearances.
