Impact Alexandrov has been a healthy scratch for 10 straight games at the NHL level, so he'll head to the minors to get some much-needed playing time. He's been held scoreless through 10 appearances with the Blues this year.

Justin Faulk - On injured reserve Faulk (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday.
Impact The move can be retroactive to last Friday, which is when Faulk was last in the lineup, so the only contest he's not eligible for is Thursday's game versus Vancouver. The 31-year-old has two goals and 17 points in 35 outings this year. When Faulk's healthy, he'll likely resume playing on the top four and receive significant power-play ice time.

Jakub Vrana - Up from minors Vrana was called up from AHL Springfield on Thursday.
Impact Vrana was waived Dec. 12 and reassigned to Springfield after scoring just two goals and six points in 19 contests with St. Louis. He excelled in Springfield, though, providing four goals and eight points in seven games. Perhaps his time in the AHL has helped the 27-year-old as he now looks to build off that success in St. Louis.

Jordan Binnington - Exits ice first Binnington was the first goalie to leave the ice Thursday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports, indicating he'll be between the pipes at home versus Vancouver.
Impact Binnington has been forced to split the workload with Joel Hofer of late, with the duo each taking three of the club's last six contests including Thursday's clash. On the year, the 30-year-old Binnington is 11-11-1 with a 3.23 GAA and one shutout. At this point, there is little reason to think interim head coach Drew Bannister will stop shuffling between both backstops.

Impact It was his 15th goal of the season - his previous best was 20 goals (2021-22). Thomas is known as a playmaker, but he's showing off an impressive scoring touch this season. He has 15 goals and 39 points in 36 games played. Remarkably, just five of Thomas' points have come on the power play. Last season, 22 of his 65 points came with the man advantage. Joel Hofer - Strong effort in loss Hofer made 26 saves in a 4-2 loss Saturday to Pittsburgh.
Impact Hofer played a strong game, making several strong saves including breakaway saves on Rielly Smith and Jake Guentzel. But there were also some adventures in netminding - Hofer went out to play the puck early in the third and blew the play, and the puck ended up in the net off his Jeff Carter's stick. The Pens were up 3-1 at that point. Hofer has a bright future, and he'll certainly iron out his gaffes as his ice time increases.

Joel Hofer - Starting Saturday Hofer will defend the road crease in Pittsburgh on Saturday, Lou Korac of The Hockey News reports.
Impact Hofer was outstanding Wednesday, stopping 39 shots in a 2-1 victory over Dallas. It was his second straight win as he was just as good Dec. 21, turning aside 37 shots in a 4-1 win in Florida. The great performances give Hofer a 7-5-0 record, with a 2.74 GAA and .912 save percentage this season. The Penguins are 26th in NHL scoring with 100 goals in 33 games.
