Impact Lafferty scored for the second game in a row since he joined the top line. He also saw 16:14 of ice time Tuesday, his third-highest mark of the season. The 28-year-old has done everything right in his first year with the Canucks, posting seven goals, six assists, a plus-12 rating, 33 shots on net, 34 hits and 22 PIM over 26 appearances. He'll have some short-term fantasy appeal as long as he's alongside Elias Pettersson at even strength.

Impact Hoglander tied the game at 5-5 with his third-period tally, sweeping in a rebound off a J.T. Miller shot. The goal was Hoglander's first in five contests. The 22-year-old winger will continue to be streaky as long as he's confined to a fourth-line role at even strength. He's at eight goals, three assists, 32 shots on net, 17 hits, 23 PIM and a plus-11 rating through 23 appearances this season.

Impact Demko gave up four goals in the first period, but head coach Rick Tocchet kept the 27-year-old between the pipes for the full contest. This was the fifth time in 10 games Demko has allowed four or more goals. The American netminder is now at 12-7-0 with a 2.46 GAA and a .918 save percentage through 19 starts. The Canucks have a slightly easier matchup versus the Wild on Thursday, though Demko's wildly inconsistent play of late makes it tough to trust him.

The 28-year-old blueliner ended his Flames tenure on a seven-game point drought, but he was able to get on the scoresheet by setting up Elias Pettersson's empty-net goal in the third period. Zadorov has seven points, 41 hits, 21 blocked shots, 29 shots on net, 23 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 22 appearances this season. He was listed on the third pairing alongside Tyler Myers in this contest, but both Zadorov and Myers are filling top-four roles on the ice for the Canucks.

The goal was Hughes' career-high ninth of the campaign, putting him at 34 points through 25 contests. The defenseman has added 73 shots on net, 19 blocked shots and a plus-18 rating.
