Impact Lekkerimaki should be back in the lineup versus the Islanders on Thursday after being briefly shifted down to the minors in a paper transaction. With Brock Boeser (upper body) still on the shelf, the 20-year-old Lekkerimaki should take on a middle-six role, though he could also be in contention for a spot on the first line with J.T. Miller.

Impact Raty has three goals and seven points in eight appearances with Abbotsford as well as an assist in seven outings with Vancouver in 2024-25. He might be recalled before Thursday's game against the Islanders. Vancouver also sent Arshdeep Bains and Jonathan Lekkerimaki to the minors Wednesday, which leaves the Canucks will just nine healthy forwards on their active roster. Vancouver did that for salary cap reasons, but the squad will presumably summon forwards to fill that gap before the upcoming game.

Arshdeep Bains - Returns to minors Bains returned to AHL Abbotsford on Wednesday, per Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com.

Impact This is the sixth time Bains has either been promoted or demoted in November. Vancouver is moving him around for salary cap purposes. It wouldn't be surprising to see Bains back with the Canucks before Thursday's game against the Islanders. He has a goal, five shots, 15 hits and five blocks in eight appearances with Vancouver in 2024-25.

Impact Lekkerimaki made his NHL debut Tuesday against Calgary and recorded two shots on goal and a hit while tallying 14:07 of ice time. He'll head back to the minors in what could be a paper transaction, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him rejoin the Canucks ahead of Thursday's game against the Islanders.

Impact Hughes has a goal and seven assists during his five-game point streak. The defenseman has earned three of those helpers on the power play. He's now at 16 points (five on the power play), 51 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 14 appearances. Hughes is a sure thing in fantasy -- managers should deploy him with confidence.

J.T. Miller - Dishes pair of assists Miller notched two assists, including one on the power play, and five shots on goal in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Flames.

Impact Miller made an impact in the second period, setting up goals by Elias Pettersson and Pius Suter as the Canucks erased an early deficit. This was Miller's first multi-point effort since Oct. 28. The 31-year-old center is up to five goals, eight assists, four power-play points, 30 shots on net, 26 hits and a plus-2 rating through 14 outings this season. He plays key minutes in all situations and should continue to maintain a high level on offense.

Impact Brannstrom helped out on Pius Suter's go-ahead goal in the second period before adding an insurance tally himself in the third. The 25-year-old Brannstrom has emerged as a regular on the Canucks' third pairing. He's up to four points, 15 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 11 contests this season. He'll have to compete with Noah Juulsen for playing time, but that appears to be a battle Brannstrom has an advantage in so far.

Impact Pettersson turned 26 on Tuesday, and he celebrated with his second multi-point effort in a row. His goal was a power-play tally to tie the game at 1-1 in the second period, and he also set up Erik Brannstrom's goal in the third. Pettersson is up to four goals, five assists, three power-play points, 27 shots on net, 22 hits, 19 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 14 outings. He's still working his way back to an elite level of scoring, but he's starting to reward fantasy managers who were patient with him.

Impact Lankinen was pulled from his last start, and that appears to have been enough to get him back on track. He's won four of his last five outings, allowing a total of 13 goals in that span, including seven tallies in the one loss. For the season, the Finn is 8-1-2 with a 2.46 GAA and a .911 save percentage through 11 appearances. The Canucks' next game is Thursday versus the Islanders.
