He will likely hold a rotational role to start the campaign, starting in 11 of his 15 appearances last season while notching two assists on 16 chances created to go along with eight interceptions, 13 clearances, 20 tackles and 29 crosses.

Impact Van Hecke finished out last season with a hamstring issue after missing the club's last game of the season. However, he appears to be fit again, as he did get time in their friendly, recording 45 minutes in the first half. That said, the defender should be considered fit for the start of the campaign, likely to be an everyday starter after getting the start in 26 games last season.

Evan Ferguson - Working individually Ferguson (ankle) was pictured in individual training Thursday.

Impact Ferguson was working with the ball on grass after working his way back from an ankle injury. The striker will be hoping to get fully fit and available after ending the season on the sideline due to the injury. Ferguson struggled to six goals in 27 appearances in the Premier League last season.

Bart Verbruggen - Out for six weeks Verbruggen is set to miss the next six weeks due to an undisclosed injury, according to Pete O'Rourke of Football Insider 247.

Impact Verbruggen is coming off a great Euro 2024 performance as he headed into the new season but unfortunately, his luck has taken a turn for the worst, with the goalie now dealing with an issue that will keep him out for some time. Luckily, this took place in the off-season. However, he will probably still miss the first few matches of the season, not returning until late August or early September. That said, expect him to miss some time, with Jason Steele likely starting in net in the club's opener.

Bart Verbruggen - Concedes late Verbruggen registered two saves and allowed two goals in Wednesday's 2-1 defeat versus England.

Impact Verbruggen seemed set to take the match to extra time before a late goal from Ollie Watkins beat him and eliminated Netherlands. Verbruggen's first major international tournament was an impressive one as he showed some truly great performances to lead his side to the semi finals. Verbruggen will return to Brighton where he will hope to lock down the starting job in pre-season.

Kaoru Mitoma - Returns to training Mitoma (back) was pictured in training for the start of the 2024/25 pre-season.

Impact Mitoma lost a large portion of the 2023/24 campaign to injuries and eventually he was shut down with eyes on getting fit moving forward. If Mitoma can get to full fitness before the 2024/25 campaign kicks off he could be back in line as one of the top wingers in the Premier League.

Solly March - Back on grass March (knee) was pictured on grass at the start of the summer training program.

Impact March ended the season with a knee injury that required a pair of surgeries but he's back running on grass to start the summer program. The winger is racing to get fit before the season kicks off, and his availability for any sort of pre-season friendlies should be telling for how far along he is in his recovery.

Ed Turns - Returns from loan Turns returned to Brighton following the end of his loan to Crewe.

Impact Turns made 14 appearances for Crewe, including two in the League Two playoffs. The defender now returns to Brighton for pre-season, with the hope of earning some sort of role in the first team. It's more likely that he's competing for another loan away to continue his development.
