Dara O'Shea - Missing from squad O'Shea was not included in the match-day squad versus Luton Town on Tuesday.
Impact O'Shea's absence was not explained by the club but he was an unused substitute versus Newcastle on Saturday. After starting the opening three matches of the year, O'Shea hasn't gotten onto the pitch, in part due to injury, since Sept. 2. Ameen Al-Dakhil and Jordan Beyer figures to maintain the central defensive roles for the time being.

Impact Gudmundsson will have to wait for his opportunity to return to the pitch after being left out of the team sheet against Luton. The midfielder has now missed two straight matches with the injury and will hope to return soon, as he was just starting to earn a spot in the starting XI before encountering the knock.

Impact Vitinho made 35 appearances in 2022/23 in the Championship and has now locked his long-term future in with Burnley. The striker started the opening match in 2023/24 before going down with an injury, but returned against Salford City in the EFL Cup and should be set to make his Premier League return during Saturday's trip to Newcastle.
