Nathan Collins - Signs with Burnley Collins signed a four-year deal with Burnley away from Championship side Stoke City.

Impact Collins will get a shot to prove himself in the Premier League after being a regular for Stoke last season when healthy. He played as a right-back and center-back, starting 19 matches, but he missed the final few months of the campaign because of injury. Given Burnley's roster and style of play, it's not expected he'll grab an immediate role in the XI.

Charlie Taylor - Ends season on a positive Taylor started the final seven matches of the season after struggling with multiple hamstring injuries over the campaign.

Impact Taylor started when healthy this season, but because of hamstring issues, he managed 28 starts. His numbers have been consistent over the years, supplying an assist with 105 crosses and eight clean sheets this past season.

Impact Lowton has battled a few injuries over the years, but when healthy, he's the top option at right-back for Burnley. As a bonus, he got a bit more forward this season, totaling a goal and assist from 21 shots, 26 chances created and 84 crosses in 34 starts.

In total, he finished with one goal and two assists from 31 shots and six chances created in 31 appearances.

Impact Pieters saw a decent amount of time this season, totaling 20 appearances (13 starts), but when everyone was healthy, he served in a bench role. For now, it's assumed that'll remain the case with Charlie Taylor being the top option at left-back for Burnley.

Impact Westwood recorded three less assists than in the 2019/20 season, but he ranked 10th in the league in crosses and missed just nine minutes of regular time all season. With Johan Berg Gudmundsson routinely struggling with his fitness, Westwood is a viable fantasy target as long as he continues to split creative duties and set pieces with Dwight McNeil.

Ashley Barnes - Another disappointing year Barnes scored three goals from 22 appearances (15 starts) in the Premier League this season.

Impact Barnes missed over two months of the season but a thigh injury in February of 2021 effectively cut his campaign short as he was no longer fit enough to start more matches upon his return in May. Over the past two seasons, Barnes has scored nine goals in 41 appearances. If he can manage to stay fit and play in over 30 league games, then there's a reasonable chance that Barnes will score close to 10 goals, as he last reached that mark in the 2018/19 season with 12 goals in 37 games.

Johann Gudmundsson - Ends season as starter Gudmundsson started the final two matches of the 2020/21 season.

Impact Gudmundsson scored two goals in 22 appearances (16 starts) over the course of the league campaign. Injuries have limited his participation over the last two seasons, so it appears like he may have lost a step after logging 14 assists between 2017 and 2019. If he can stay healthy, then there's no reason not to expect that Gudmundsson will start on the opposite wing to Dwight McNeil next season, as there aren't really any other right-midfielders on Burnley right now. It could be prudent to see where things go with Gudmundsson when next season comes around, as his recent production hasn't been great enough to make him a fantasy lock.

James Tarkowski - Another solid season Tarkowski logged 159 clearances, 66 tackles and 11 clean sheets in 36 starts this season.

Impact Tarkowski hasn't started less than 31 games in each of the last four seasons and successfully kept 11 clean sheets for the third time since 2017/18. Even with 41 less clearances in this campaign than in the previous one, Tarkowski still ranked third in the league in that stat. It doesn't look like Burnley's style of play will chance any time soon, so Tarkowski should have no problems remaining a valuable defensive asset, though it's no guarantee he stays with the Clarets forever after nearly moving to West Ham this season.

Impact Long started in seven of his eight appearances this season before a combination of injuries and low place on the depth chart listed his opportunities. He'll need to make a healthy return in the fall if he wishes to step onto the field for Burnley any time soon.

Dwight McNeil - Delivers seven crosses in loss McNeil took two shots on target, created one chance, delivered seven crosses, won one tackle and made one interception in Sunday's 1-0 loss versus Sheffield United.

Impact McNeil was not able to find the back of the net in the last game of the season but he still managed to rack up offensive stats due to his role on set pieces. It shouldn't be long before he makes the English national team, though two goals, five assists and the fourth-most crosses in the Premier League this season weren't enough this time around. At least from a fantasy perspective, we're nearing the time where McNeil should be able to rank much closer to the league leaders in assists each season, so a greater influence on the scoresheet should bolster his outlook even more. It will also help if there's more consistent production from Chris Wood and the other strikers, though not everything is within the scope of McNeil's control in a small-budget club.

Impact Wood had a quiet offensive outing Sunday as he took only one shot in 90 minutes. Across the season, it was a case of a salvage job for Wood as he scored 12 times and provided three assists in 32 starts, though eight of those goals and every assist came in an eight-game stretch between March and May of 2021. Expecting consistent output from Wood isn't a good way to guarantee fantasy success, though if you can pick him up when he gets hot, he'll continue to be a difference maker along with the growing talents of Dwight McNeil.
