Vargas appears primed to be Charlotte's playmaker on the ball for the 2024 campaign. He has been selected to start his team's first two matches, and Vargas has attempted 22 crosses (three accurate) and recorded seven corners. He attempted just 22 corners in all of 2023. Impact Bronico looks to be getting his range of motion back as he is not too far along from returning to team teaming. However, he is still doubtful for Saturday's match, depending on if he is able to train with the group before travelling to Vancouver. In any case, both Ashley Westwood and Junior Urso is still set to start in the defensive midfield for Charlotte.

Impact Tuiloma started the season off on the sidelines with a thigh injury. He will also be questionable for the trip to Vancouver, depending on how quickly he recovers. Nathan Byrne will continuse to be the favorite to start at right back, while both Adilson Malanda and Andrew Privett are the set center backs for Charlotte, even after having started 15 of the 17 appearances in 2023.
