Lewis O'Brien - Joins D.C. on loan O'Brien has joined D.C. United on a four-month loan with the option to buy from Nottingham Forest, the club announced Monday. Impact O'Brien scored one goal across 13 appearances (six starts) in defensive midfield during his first Premier League campaign with Nottingham Forest this season, but only one of those starts came after August and he hasn't even been in a match day squad since mid-January. The 24-year-old, who also has eight goals and 10 assists in 123 appearances across three seasons in the Championship with Huddersfield to his name, is now moving to MLS to play under manager Wayne Rooney in D.C. He will be competing with Mateusz Klich, Russell Canouse and Chris Durkin for a starting spot in midfield before the club will have an option to buy him permanently from Forest in the summer.
