Makoto Hasebe - Still going strong Hasebe made 18 appearances (15 starts) during the 2022/23 Bundesliga, keeping two clean sheets.

Impact Hasebe signed a one-year contract extension and March and proceeded to be a nailed-on starter for the remainder of the Bundesliga. The center-back is likely to remain a depth option with Tuta, Evan N'Dicka and Almamy Toure likely to be starting back three. Hasebe has also already signed an agreement to joined Frankfurt as a coach when he decides to end his playing career.

Christopher Lenz - Ends season in starting XI Lenz started the final seven matches of the 2022/23 Bundesliga.

Impact Lenz opened the season on the bench for the most part following the departure of Filip Kostic, with Buta and Eric Junior getting starts in place of him. Lenz took on a larger role in the closing stages of the Bundesliga and could see an uptick in playing time if he can earn the starting job in pre-season.

Impact Lindstrom opened the season as an absolute nailed-on starter. The midfielder was solid early, storming to a hot start but struggling in the closing stages. In the final matches of the Bundesliga Lindstrom actually fell out of the starting XI. In the end Lindstrom ended on seven goals and two assists and with Daichi Kamada departing the club a major role should be open for Lindstrom.

Ansgar Knauff - Strong loan season Knauff made 24 appearances (14 starts) and scored once and assisted once during the 2022/23 Bundesliga.

Impact Knauff's loan move to Frankfurt is in the process of being made permanent, Bild.de reports. The winger was consistent as part of the Frankfurt team, but did struggle occasionally for lack of a role. Knauff proved to be a strong attacking option but struggled defensively to lock down a role as a wing-back.

Impact Sow scored four times during his best offensive season and four season as a major starter. The midfielder partnered Sebastian Rode in central midfield for the most part and remains a nailed-on starter. Sow played a career-high 2,650 minutes and added 41 tackles alongside 28 interceptions.

N'Dicka was a nailed-on starter, compiling a career-high 143 clearances and 31 interceptions and maintaining his role in the center of the park. If N'Dicka remains in Frankfurt he will continue to be the first name on the team sheet.

Impact Borre opened the season as the starting option to lead the line and immediately fell down the pecking order, making jut 10 starts and scoring only twice. Borre's role could increase if Randal Kolo Muani moves on from the club, but otherwise Borre seems set to be a bench option.

When fit the defender seems set for a more consistent role in the starting XI though he will need to stay fit throughout pre-season to take that role moving forward. Tuta extended his contract through 2026 with Frankfurt, and has publicly stated his intent to partner Evan N'Dicka in the center of the defense.

Impact Kolo Muani ended with 26 goal contributions, leading the Bundesliga following an incredible campaign. It was his first in Germany and he's already drawn interest from some of the biggest clubs around Europe. Kolo Muani would lead the line if he remains in Frankfurt heading into the 2023/24 campaign.

Impact Larsson has tallied two goals and two assists across 37 Swedish Allsvenskan appearances over the last 18 months from midfield, and he won the Swedish Cup with Malmo in 2022 as well. The 18-year-old midfielder already has four Europa League starts to his name, and he will now be moving to the Bundesliga with Frankfurt this summer.
