Impact Trapp still hasn't earned a clean sheet and has conceded eight goals in the first three matches of the campaign. The goalkeeper is playing behind a new-look Frankfurt defense and it hasn't been a success so far into the Bundesliga campaign. Trapp is still a top keeper and will be playing in the Champions League, but this a less than encouraging start.

Luca Pellegrini - Debuts in draw Pellegrini had two shots (zero on goal), three crosses (one accurate), and one corner in Sunday's 1-1 draw against 1. FC Koln.

Impact Pellegrini made his debut with Frankfurt after joining from Juventus with Filip Kostic going the other way. In a somewhat surprising twist, Frankfurt switched to a back-four, a formation they rarely, if ever, played when Kostic was in the team. Pellegrini sent in three crosses and took a corner, a respectable return in his first match with his new club.

Impact Jakic made his first start of the season, slotting in at right-back in a back-four. This is a new formation for Frankfurt, a team that favored the back-five in the previous season. Jakic is a utility player able to slot in all over a defensive unit, or in midfield, but he could have some upside if he is consistently getting playing time at right-back.

Impact Lindstrom earned Bundesliga rookie of the year honors last time out but has struggled to live up to that so far in 2022/23. The attacking midfielder has been poor in all three matches to start the season and finds himself yet to even create a chance or send a shot on target. Lindstrom will need to bounce back quickly if he wants to avoid being replaced by someone such as Daichi Kamada.

Impact Kamada scored his second goal in as many games after starting the season as an unused substitute. It appeared the midfielder was going to be phased out of the Frankfurt first team but his good form keeps him right in the thick of it. With a shortened schedule due to the World Cup as well as Champions League football in Frankfurt it appears Kamada will get plenty of playing time even if it is off the bench.

Eric Ebimbe - Extends contract, goes on loan Dina Ebimbe signed a contract extension through 2024 and has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan with an option to buy, it was announced Sunday.

Impact Dina Ebimbe only made 10 league appearances last season (four starts) and following news that he was considered surplus to requirements in Paris this season, he's been given a chance to prove himself elsewhere. As he joins a side that's solid but lacking in talented depth, Dina Ebimbe could get a chance to take on a regular role. In his first season as a starter during the 2020/21 campaign while with Dijon, Dina Ebimbe only scored one goal and provided one assist in 30 appearances (25 starts).
