Impact Baird is already making improvements after receiving news that he avoided a sports hernia, as he is back on the training pitch running Monday. This is solid news for the attacker, although he is likely still some time away from a return. That said, he can almost be guaranteed to miss Wednesday's match but could return Saturday to face New England.

Matt Miazga - Ruled out for Wednesday Miazga (laceration) won't play Wednesday against Philadelphia, manager Pat Noonan told media Monday.
Impact Noonan added that there's potential for a long-term absence for the center-back, but further tests will be needed to understand how long he'll be sidelined. Miazga has been Cincinnati's best defender this season, and his absence comes at a bad time for the team since Cincinnati will also miss Miles Robinson to USMNT duty for the 2024 Copa America.

Impact Miazga will need to make a quick recovery if he is to be available for Wednesday's game against Philadelphia after he received a laceration to his left leg. It took several minutes for the 2023 Defender of the Year to be removed from the field after a clash with the post following a slip. According to reports, he has now received stitches to the laceration at a local hospital.
