Signs with Portland Surman has completed a transfer out of free agency to Portland, his new club announced.
Impact Surman has spent the past three seasons in New Zealand but is making the jump to America, as he is joining Portland on a two-and-a-half-year deal. The 20-year-old isn't likely to see much time to begin with, serving in a rotational role at best and obtained for more of a future purpose. He won't join the team until after the Olympics, as he is set to compete with New Zealand.
