Impact Gil didn't find the back of the net in this one, but there's no question he generated all sorts of problems for the opposing defensive line with his pace and dribbling skill. The Tottenham winger, who will spend the season on loan at Girona, has enough talent to be a regular starter for Girona while filling the boots of Savinho, who departed the club to join Manchester City in the summer.

Paulo Gazzaniga - Concedes early goal Thursday Gazzaniga made three saves and allowed one goal in Thursday's 1-1 draw versus Betis.

Impact There wasn't much Gazzaniga could've done in the sequence that led to Marc Bartra's goal just five minutes into the match. The defender nodded a cross from Nabil Fekir home from very close range and with acres of space, so Gazzaniga didn't have a lot of time to react. Impact Van de Beek returned from a dreadful loan to Eintracht Frankfurt and was sold to Girona. The midfielder will hope to revitalize his career with the Spanish side that earned a shock spot in the Champions League. It's not clear if Van de Beek will take an immediate starting role with Girona or if he will be a depth option, but his time in Manchester certainly did little to improve his standing.

Gabriel Misehouy - Signs with Girona Misehouy has agreed on a four year deal with Girona from Ajax ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Impact Misehouy will play in Spain for the next few years after starting his professional career in the Netherlands. He scored seven times with three assists in 13 appearances in the Eerste Divisie, starting 11 times. The midfielder will look to climb up the depth chart as one of the younger players on the squad.
