Juanpe - Inks extension Juanpe has agreed to a one-year extension with Girona.

Impact Juanpe will be sticking around with Girona for a ninth season, as he has just inked a one-year extension to remain with the club until the end of the 2024/25 campaign. He held a rotational role in their most recent season, starting six times in his 17 appearances while notching seven interceptions, 11 tackles and 49 clearances.

Viktor Tsygankov - Five crosses in loss Tsygankov generated two shots (zero on goal), five crosses (zero accurate) and three corners in Monday's 3-0 defeat versus Romania.

Impact Tsygankov recorded five crosses in Monday's loss, however he recorded zero accurate crosses. He added two off-target shots, three corners and one drawn foul before he was subbed off in the 63rd minute for Andrii Yarmolenko.

Impact Krejci will represent the Czech Republic in the 2024 Euros, and after a short break following the tournament, he'll join his new club as he prepares for a 2024/25 campaign in which Girona will compete in both LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League. Krejci will add depth to the defensive line, but it's not hard to imagine a scenario in which he gets regular playing time and a decent number of starts.

Impact Portu was the first option to replace one of the missing players in the final third, and he saw time as an attacking midfielder, as a winger on both flanks and even as a striker at times. His numbers are even more impressive when considering he went the full 90 just once all season long.

Impact Torre was a regular presence off the bench for Girona, but he only managed to make four starts all season long. The talented playmaker was on loan from Barcelona, and he must return to the Blaugranas to determine what will be the next step in his career.

Impact Herrera enjoyed excellent production in the final third despite his role as a holding midfielder, and Girona's free-flowing attack allowed him to roam forward with ease on a regular basis. Herrera is expected to remain a regular with Girona in the 2024-25 campaign, though his starts might decrease a bit in the league since the club will also compete in the Champions League, making rotations a strong possibility.

Aleix Garcia - Shines in playmaking role Garcia registered three goals and six assists across 37 appearances (36 starts) during the 2023-24 Liga season.

Impact Even though the likes of Artem Dovbyk and Savio got the most praise during Girona's historic campaign, Garcia was one of the team's best, most consistent players while often thriving in a deep playmaking role. Garcia Garcia's future for the 2024-25 season is uncertain, as Girona want to keep him around, but Barcelona and Leverkusen are interested in signing him. If he stays at Girona, however, he's expected to play a prominent role in midfield once again.

Valery - Scores two goals in 2023-24 Valery scored two goals on 27 appearances (two starts) in the 2023-24 season.

Impact Valery regularly played off the bench for Girona and found the back of the net twice, against Barcelona (Dec. 10) and Atletico Madrid (Jan. 3). The midfielder is not expected to play a regular role in 2024-25, with better options available in the squad and expected additions during the summer transfer window.

Daley Blind - Consistent defensive presence Blind made 34 appearances (33 starts) for Girona in the 2023-24 season, tallying one goal, two assists, 110 clearances and 47 tackles.

Impact Aside from a three-game stretch where he missed time due to a foot injury and two games in which he was on the bench, Blind was Girona's most consistent defender in the 2023-24 season, though that was to be expected given his experience in some of the best clubs in Europe. Blind should be a pivotal figure in Girona's defensive scheme for the 2024-25 campaign, a season in which Girona will debut in the UEFA Champions League.

Ivan Martin - Career-best season in 2023-24 Martin notched five goals and four assists across 36 appearances (33 starts) in the 2023-24 season.

Impact Martin was a regular presence in midfield for Girona, and the only two games he missed were due to suspension (April 13) and due to being an unused sub (Sep. 30) against Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, respectively. He improved compared to what was an already successful season in 2022-23, and the midfielder should play a prominent role in 2024-25 as well, a year in which Girona will have to juggle between LaLiga and their first-ever UEFA Champions League participation.

Yan Couto - Plays off bench in season finale Couto (illness) played 40 minutes off the bench in Friday's 7-0 win over Granada. He finished with seven crosses (one accurate) and two tackles won.

Impact Couto managed to return to action in the season finale after missing two games in a row due to an illness. The young defender alternated between the starting lineup and the bench throughout the campaign, though he made his last start on April 27. Couto finished the season with one goal, eight assists, 111 crosses and 45 tackles across 34 appearances (24 starts).

Miguel Gutierrez - Supplies assist in final victory Gutierrez assisted once to go with three crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Friday's 7-0 victory against Granada.

Impact Gutierrez supplied an assist Friday as his contribution to Girona's 7-0 rout over Granda. Gutierrez enjoyed a fruitful second season at Girona. He set new career-best single season La Liga marks in appearances (35), starts (35) and assists (seven). Gutierrez also tied his total from the pervious season with two goals.

Impact Garcia capped his 2023-2024 La Liga campaign with a goal Friday as Girona defeated Granda 7-0. Garcia enjoyed a successful run during his loan at Girona. He appeared in the most league matches in a single season of his career (30 appearances, 30 starts). Garcia also scored a career high five goals in a single campaign. He's now set to return to Barcelona where his future will be decided.

Impact Stuani entered the fray Saturday for the final 34 minutes of play, making an outsized impact off the substitute's bench with his goal and assist as Girona defeated Granada 7-0. As he did in Girona's previous season, Stuani played the role of second-choice striker this season behind Artem Dovbyk. He made the most of his limited minutes, appearing 31 times (five starts), scoring nine goals and supplying three assists.

Tsygankov ends the campaign on a strong run of form having scored twice and supplied three assists over his last five matches. After joining in the winter transfer window during the previous campaign, Tsygankov set new career-highs for appearances (30), starts (26), goals (eight) and assists (seven) in a singe La Liga season during the 2023-2024 campaign.

He also supplied an assist. The three goals leave Dovbyk atop the La Liga goal scoring list as the presumptive Golden Boot winner for the 2023-2024 La Liga campaign.
