Raúl Fernandez - Still not an option Fernandez (lower body) is out for Monday's match against Atletico Madrid.

Impact Fernandez is still not ready for a return, having been left out of the team sheet for a sixth straight match due to a lower-body issue. Luckily for the club, it shouldn't affect too much moving forward, as he is their third option in net, only appearing four times all season thus far. He will hope to heal up before the club's next match against Getafe on Monday.

JANUARY 22 • ROTOWIRE

Martin Hongla - Handed two-match ban Hongla was handed a two-match ban for abusing an official during a clash with Betis.

Impact Hongla is set to miss a Monday clash with Atleti as well as a Jan. 29 trip to Getafe due to the suspension. The midfielder's suspension will be a major disappointment as he earned it during his first three minutes on the pitch with his new club. Hongla will have to wait until a Feb. 4 clash with Las Palmas to try and make his full Granada debut.

JANUARY 19 • ROTOWIRE

Ricard Sanchez Sendra - Suspension over Ricard completed his one-game suspension and will be available to face Atletico Madrid on Jan. 22.

Impact The defender missed the 1-0 loss to Real Betis, but he will be available for a tough matchup against Atletico Madrid. Ricard should step back into the starting lineup in his regular right-back role, as he was in the XI in Granada's previous five contests before the ban.

Kamil Piatkowski - Productive in Granada debut Piatkowski had six tackles (three won) and seven clearances in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Betis.

Impact Piatkowski made his Granada debut Saturday and put together a solid outing on defense. He won three tackles, made seven clearances and blocked three shots as his side let up one goal. With Granada struggling defensively to this point, Piatkowski could provide some stability on the backline and potentially help his side avoid relegation.

Bryan Zaragoza Martinez - Six crosses in loss Bryan Zaragoza registered one shot (one on goal), six crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 1-0 loss versus Betis.

Impact Zaragoza was Granada's best played going forward Saturday as he recorded six crosses in his fourth straight match. He also created one chance and took one of his side's two shots on target. With eight goal contributions in 19 appearances, he has been Granada's most consistent producer this season.

JANUARY 14 • ROTOWIRE

Augusto Batalla - Concedes once in loss Batalla made five saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-0 loss versus Betis. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 43rd minute.

Impact Batalla conceded one goal in Saturday's loss, a strike by Isco in the 76th minute. It marks his first goal conceded in two games since joining Granada. He has done well in his first two matches and could be a catalyst for Granada avoiding relegation if he continues to play well. His next match is a difficult one next Monday versus Atletico Madrid, a side which has scored 39 goals in 19 league matches this season.

Gerard Gumbau - Earns bench nod Gumbau (calf) is on the bench for Saturday's contest against Real Betis.

Impact Gumbau is back on the team sheet for Granada after missing the club's last match against Cadiz, lining up on the bench in his return. The midfielder should return to the starting XI in the club's next contest against Atletico Madrid on Jan. 22, as he has started in every match he has been available for leading up to this game.

Martin Hongla - Completes Granada switch Hongla has completed a permanent transfer to Granada from Hellas Verona on Friday.

Impact Hongla could be available to face Real Betis on Saturday if he's registered in time, but if that's not the case, then the earliest he could make his debut with the Nazari side would be against Atletico Madrid on Jan. 22. He will add versatility and positional flexibility to a Granada side that's often thin in midfield depth, but his fantasy upside shouldn't be very high.

Gerard Gumbau - Game-time call Saturday Gumbau (calf) has been deemed a game-time decision for Saturday's match at Real Betis, manager Alexander Medina told media Friday. "Gumbau trained with the team throughout the week...

Impact Gumbau was a late scratch for the Jan. 3 matchup against Cadiz, and even though Medina's report was encouraging, it seems Granada will take all the precautions they can to avoid another setback. Gumbau has started in each of his 17 appearances, so he'll likely crack the XI if he's deemed fit by the medical staff.

JANUARY 12 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Fernandez is set to miss a fifth straight game, but his absence won't affect many fantasy decisions. After all, the goalkeeper isn't the top choice even when fit, so Andre Ferreira should continue in the starting XI for Saturday's matchup. Fernandez's next chance to play will come against Atletico Madrid on Jan. 22, but that seems unlikely as well.

Gerard Gumbau - Left off Wednesday's match Gumbau (calf) was not an option for Wednesday's 2-0 win over Cadiz.

Impact Gumbau was a late scratch Wednesday after suffering a minor calf injury. He had started his previous seven matches, recording 27 crosses (seven accurate), 16 tackles and 10 interceptions in that span. If the midfielder is not fit to play Saturday, then Alvaro Fernandez Carreras could be an option to start in the midfield alongside Sergio Ruiz and Gonzalo Villar.

Kamil Piatkowski - Loaned to Granada Piatkowski will join Granada on loan from FC Salzburg for the remainder of the season.

Impact Piatkowski made just seven appearances during the Austrian Bundesliga this season, scoring once in that span. He also made three appearances during the Champions League in 2023. The defender will look to get some playing time with Granada as they continue to fight to stay in La Liga.

Ricard Sanchez Sendra - Sees fifth yellow card Ricard was handed his fifth yellow card of the season and is set to serve a one match ban.

Impact Ricard will miss just his second match of the season through suspension. He's started five of the last six games played, logging in 10 clearances with six tackles and six crosses (one accurate) in that span. During his absence, Jesus Vallejo could be an option to start since returning from a hamstring injury, with Jose Maria Callejon and Wilson Manafa also options to start on Jan 13 versus Real Betis.

Carlos Neva - Impacts both ends in win Carlos Neva assisted once to go with zero corners and two chances created in Wednesday's 2-0 victory versus Cadiz.

Impact Neva made three clearances and an interception in addition to his second assist of the year. He has started every match for Granada this season and will continue to be vital at the back for his side.

Impact Boye earned his first goal or assist since October against Cadiz in this contest despite starting all but one of his side's games in the time since. He will look to keep this run of form going against Betis.

Bryan Zaragoza Martinez - Gets back on the scoresheet Bryan Zaragoza scored one goal to go with three shots (two on goal), seven crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Wednesday's 2-0 win against Cadiz.

Impact Zaragoza had a massive day in attack, equalling a season-high with four chances created and scoring his sixth goal in 18 appearances this campaign. Next up is a matchup against Betis on Saturday.

Myrto Uzuni - Big day against Cadiz Uzuni scored one goal to go with five shots (two on goal) in Wednesday's 2-0 victory against Cadiz.

Impact Uzuni scored his sixth goal of the season and tied a season-high with five shots taken. He was a halftime substitute in Granada's previous match against Sevilla but seems likely to start a second game in a row on the back of this performance.

Impact Batalla earned Granada's first clean sheet of the season hours after signing from River Plate on loan. He will undoubtedly remain a staple in the side for the remainder of the season as long as he remains healthy.

JANUARY 3 • ROTOWIRE

Augusto Batalla - Starts after signing with Granada Batalla only reached an agreement on his loan from River Plate to Granda Wednesday morning but is already in the starting XI hours later to face Cadiz on Wednesday.

Impact Batalla is already on the team sheet despite only joining the club hours ago. Even more surprising, he is in the starting XI to face Cadiz. Based on the early developments of this loan, it appears the keeper will be an important piece of the team for the remainder of the season, as he is already getting a start. He will look to have a great debut with his new club, as they have yet to bag a clean sheet this season, allowing a combined 40 goals in only 19 matches.

JANUARY 3 • ROTOWIRE

Jesus Vallejo - On bench against Cadiz Vallejo (hamstring) is on the bench for Wednesday's match against Cadiz.

Impact Vallejo is back in the mix for Granda, finally returning to the team sheet for only the third time this season after dealing with two separate injuries that resulted in him missing 16 matches altogether. The defender had started in the first match of the year before going down with a leg knock that started his injury woes, so he will hope to possibly work his way back into that spot. However, that may take some time after such a long absence, as he will have to get his fitness up to par once again and will have to earn his integration back into the squad.

Bruno Mendez - Joining Spanish club Mendez will join Granada from Corinthians when the transfer window opens, the team announced Wednesday.

Impact Mendez made 27 appearances (20 starts) for Corinthians this season in which he logged 1,648 minutes while receiving five yellow cards. The central defender has scored just four times in his professional career, so fantasy players probably shouldn't be expecting him to offer much in the way of offensive upside.

Impact Zaragoza recorded 11 crosses (two accurate) in Tuesday's loss, his second most in a match this season. Unfortunately for him and his team, none of those crosses created any goalscoring chances, but the volume of crosses is promising nonetheless.
