Impact Cascante is a surprise addition to the injury report and is listed in concussion protocol. With such a late addition there's simply not time for Cascante to clear protocols. Depending on when he entered concussion protocols it's possible Cascante won't clear them before a Saturday clash with Toronto. Alexander Ring could see another start in central defense, a role he played consistently while Cascante was sidelined with a calf injury.

Extends contract with Austin Cascante (calf) has signed a three-year contract extension with the option to further add an additional year with Austin FC, the club announced Tuesday.

Impact Cascante tallied five goals, three assists and eight clean sheets across 66 MLS appearances (61 starts) in central defense during his first two seasons in Austin, and the 29-year-old has now signed on to remain at the club through the 2025 campaign at least. He suffered a severe calf strain in this campaign's opening match that will sideline him for another few weeks at least, with Alexander Ring replacing him alongside Leo Vaisanen in the back line.
