Traded to LAFC Acosta has been traded to LAFC from Colorado in exchange for up to $1.5 million in General Allocation Money over two years, the club announced Friday.
Impact Acosta tallied a goal and two assists in 22 MLS appearances (20 starts) in the Rapids' midfield last season as the club finished a surprising first place in the Western Conference. He's also an established U.S. international at this point, so his signing is a statement from LAFC no matter how much it costs in GAM. Acosta should slot right into the starting lineup at his new team, and his versatility in midfield will be a big boost to the club, which is undergoing a slight rebuild this offseason.

Impact Acosta returned from an undisclosed injury on Sunday and turned in arguably his best performance since the Gold Cup as his side handily defeated LAFC and clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. He will hope to return from the international window in this form still and ready for the playoffs.
