Andy Najar - Getting consistent minutesNajar has started the last two matches, compiling three tackles, four interceptions and six fouls drawn.
ImpactNajar was a late signing and has quietly found a spot in the starting XI the last two matches, playing as a center-back and outside midfielder. He doesn't have a ton of fantasy value, but his numbers will obviously be boosted if playing in an outside role.

Bobby Shuttleworth - Stands tall in lossShuttleworth made three saves and conceded once in the 1-0 loss to D.C. United on Thursday.
ImpactShuttleworth was excellent and he was the only reason that Chicago did not get blown away in the loss. The keeper was forced to make numerous saves and quite a few were high-danger saves at that. After having a rather bumpy start to the season, this performance was rather promising for what he could do. Although he is averaging two goals against per match, he is still making enough saves to at least provide some sort of value.

Alvaro Medran - Whips 11 crosses in 1-0 lossMedran produced four shots (one on target), created two chances, sent 11 crosses (one accurate), took three corners and made two tackles (one won) in the 1-0 loss to D.C. United on...
ImpactMedran had his best performance so far this season in the close loss Thursday. The midfielder returned back to his starting spot after coming off the bench against Philadelphia a week ago. He also returned to taking the majority of set-pieces and he added his playmaking ability to it from the wing. Medran took a season high four shots in the win and if he continues to play in this position moving forward, he could start increasing his ceiling tenfold.

Przemyslaw Frankowski - Receives first yellow of seasonFrankowski took one shot (none on target), created three chances, sent seven crosses (three accurate), made one tackle (none won) and received one yellow card in the 1-0 loss to D....
ImpactFrankowski was excellent in the close loss. The winger continued to be a crucial playmaker from the right-flank. He still has yet to top two shots in a given match this season, but he makes it up tenfold with his creativity on the pitch. In the five matches so far, he has taken just six shots, but he has also created 10 chances and sent 22 crosses. He is easily one of the best players in terms of raw peripherals for Chicago and he seems to be kicking into form.

Brian Gutierrez - Snipes post in lossGutierrez took two shots (one on target) and sent one cross (none accurate) in the 1-0 loss to D.C. United on Thursday.
ImpactGutierrez did very little in the close loss Thursday. The midfielder had just two shots to his name and he barely produced outside of them. However, he did come close to saving his bare minimum performance if not for an unlucky post hit. He has only made two appearances (one start) in the five matches for Chicago thus far and he has not shown much promise. Until he can gain form, there are better plays at the club.

Robert Beric - Gun-shy in lossBeric took one shot (none on target) and created three chances in the 1-0 loss to D.C. United on Thursday.
ImpactBeric had every chance possible to not only attempt at leveling the game, but to also put Chicago in the lead. However, he only took a single chance out of the plethora of opportunities he had. Granted, he did at least create chances out of them by setting up teammates. The issue is that Beric generates his floor and ceiling from his shot and his shot only. It is a little worrisome too that his shot volume has taken a massive dip from his first two appearances where he totaled 10 shots, compared to his most recent three appearances where he has totaled five shots. It is better to take a concerning approach to playing him for the time being.

Jon Kempin - Records first clean sheet in winKempin made three saves and recorded one clean sheet in the 1-0 win against Chicago on Thursday.
ImpactKempin was solid in net and outlasted Bobby Shuttleworth in the ongoing keeper battle in the close match. This was his first start since joining from Columbus as well and he provided a much needed boost in net. Until normal starter Bill Hamid returns, Kempin could takeover as the number one in the meantime.
