Sang-Bin Jeong has started in each of Minnesota's six matches to begin the season. He has yet to contribute to a goal in 2024, but his play has notably taken a different shape than that of the previous season. Sang-Bin Jeong has already attempted 36 crosses (five accurate) over six starting appearances in 2024 after attempting 43 crosses over 23 appearances (nine starts) in all of 2023.

ImpactLod provided a key assist late on in the second half Saturday to help Minnesota level the match and draw 1-1 with Real Salt Lake. Lod missed the majority of the 2023 campaign (10 starting appearances) with a significant knew injury, but he looks to have regained his former ability early on in 2024. In five starting appearances in 2024, Lod has scored twice and provided two assists. If he's able to remain fit for the duration of the season, Lod has the ability to achieve the ceiling of his production, previously realized in 2020 when he scored 10 times and provided four assists over 26 appearances (24 starts).

ImpactSt. Clair turned aside four of five Real Salt Lake shots on target Saturday, as Minnesota drew 1-1. Over the first six matches of the young campaign, St. Clair is averaging three saves per game, has conceded seven times and has made seven clearances. St. Clair and Minnesota will face a Houston attack next Saturday that has scored seven times in six matches.

ImpactLuna made his first start (second appearance) since returning from USMNT duty Saturday, as Real Salt Lake drew with Minnesota 1-1. Real Salt Lake has steadily incorporated Luna into the lineup over the previous two seasons, doubling his number appearances in 2023 from that of 2022. Luna has responded positively to the challenge, as he managed seven goals and one assist over his 26 appearances (17 starts) in 2023. Luna also appears to be adding to the diversity of his game, having already attempted 10 crosses in 2024 after attempting just 22 in all of 2023.

Gomez has the look of a young player primed for a breakthrough this season. After scoring once and providing five assists over 33 appearances (17 starts) for Real Salt Lake in 2023, Gomez has already scored twice and provided three assists in six appearances (five starts) in 2024. If Gomez is able to maintain his place in the starting XI, it's fair to expect him to significantly exceed the goal contributions his play produced in 2023.

Zac MacMath - Six saves in drawMacMath recorded six saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Minnesota United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 82nd minute.

ImpactMacMath turned aside all but one of the seven shots that Minnesota landed on target during Real Salt Lake's 1-1 draw Saturday. The beginning to Macmath's third season as Real Salt Lake's first-choice keeper has been characteristically strong. Over six starting appearances, he's allowed just six goals, made 25 saves and recorded a clean sheet. MacMath will see his next opportunity as Columbus Crew travel to Real Salt Lake next Saturday.
