Daniel Edelman - Converts winning penalty SundayEdelman registered one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-2 (7-6) penalty shootout win versus Columbus Crew.
ImpactEdelman scored the series-clinching penalty Sunday as he took Red Bulls' seventh shot of the penalty shootout and beat Patrick Schulte to advance his team to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. He had a decent performance outside of that spectacular moment as he created one chance, intercepted three passes, made two clearances and blocked one shot in his full 90 minutes of action. He and Red Bulls will take on the winner of Cincinnati FC and New York City FC in the next round of the playoffs.

Emil Forsberg - Goal and assist in playoff winForsberg scored one goal and assisted once from one shot and two chances created in Sunday's 2-2 (7-6) penalty shootout victory versus Columbus Crew.
ImpactForsberg was excellent in Sunday's playoff victory. He assisted Dante Vanzier's equalizer in the 64th minute with an excellent pass, then converted a penalty in the 80th minute to take the 2-1 lead. In the penalty shootout, he converted Red Bulls' fifth penalty attempt to send the shootout into sudden death, which his side ended up winning. Forsberg has now led his side to the Eastern Conference Semifinals in his first season in the MLS and now he will take on the winner of Cincinnati FC and New York City FC in a best-of-three series.

Carlos Coronel - Comes up big in shootout winCoronel recorded two saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-2 (7-6) penalty shootout win against Columbus Crew.
ImpactCoronel conceded two goals in Sunday's win, including a 96th minute equalizer scored by Christian Ramirez. He has now conceded multiple goals in seven of his last nine starts. However, Coronel showed up big time in the penalty shootout as he saved Columbus' final three penalty attempts to send his side to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. He and Red Bulls will take on the winner of Cincinnati FC and New York City FC in a best of three series with a berth in the Eastern Conference Final on the line.

Diego Rossi - Four shots in playoff lossRossi (back) recorded four shots (one on goal), two crosses (one accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 2-2 (7-6) penalty shootout defeat to New York Red Bulls.
ImpactRossi started Sunday's match despite dealing with a back injury. He played fine as he took four shots and created one chance, but he was unable to take Columbus' attack up a level. He converted his penalty in the shootout, but it was not enough to avoid elimination from the playoffs. Rossi had a very productive season in his first full campaign with Columbus as he scored 12 goals and recorded seven assists through 35 appearances (31 starts).

Alexandru Matan - Assists equalizer, misses penaltyMatan assisted once to go with one shot (one on goal), three crosses (two accurate) and two corners in Sunday's 2-2 (7-6) penalty shootout loss to New York Red Bulls.
ImpactMatan gave Columbus life Sunday as his corner kick in the 96th minute connected with Christian Ramirez and the pair tied the match at 2-2. However, Matan took Columbus' seventh penalty with the shootout tied 4-4, had his shot saved and then Red Bulls eliminated Columbus with the ensuing kick. It was a rough moment for Matan after being a major reason why Columbus forced penalties in the first place. Matan's season has now come to an end, and it was a slightly disappointing one. After starting 33 of 37 matches last season and recording 11 goal contributions, Matan started just 18 matches (30 total appearances) this season and scored four goals to go along with three assists.
