ImpactMosquera started his third season with Portland in a great way Saturday, notching an assist after finding Eryk Williamson in the ninth minute for the first goal of the contest. He will now look to take down his tally from last season after his explosive start against Colorado, as he only had four assists in the previous campaign in 29 appearances. His addition to the defense also did not go to waste, as he registered four tackles, one interception and a clearance while holding the Rapids to one goal.

ImpactParedes already found his first goal contribution of the season, registering an assist in the 14th minute off of an Antony goal. This gives the midfielder a great start to topping his goal contribution total from last season, as he only registered three in his 28 appearances. He also had a pretty good game outside of his assist on Saturday, contributing mainly in the defense with his four tackles won, two interceptions and one clearance.

ImpactWilliamson was just one of the Portland players to start their season on a high note, bagging two goal contributions after scoring in the ninth minute and assisting in the 29th minute. The midfielder will hope to keep up this type of production and remain healthy this season after the great start Saturday, as he only registered one goal contribution in six appearances last campaign due to a torn ACL, with the player returning to play for the first time since the injury against Colorado on Saturday.

ImpactAntony started the season in great form Saturday, picking up a brace in the win after scoring just 15 minutes apart in the 14th minute and 29th minute. This already tops his goal contribution count from last season, as he only had one in nine appearances last campaign. He now looks to be in line for the starting role and will hope for that to stick after the minimal role last season. He was also great outside of his goals, registering three shots and four crosses.

ImpactPantemis had a decent showing in his Rapids debut Saturday, only allowing one goal while making two saves in a slightly quiet game for the keeper. He will be happy to have gotten the start and be in line for the regular starting spot, as last campaign, he only appeared twice for Montreal. He will hope to pick his first clean sheet of the season when they face D.C. United on Saturday.

ImpactVines could've not had a worse start to the season Saturday, as he not only was a part of the backline that allowed four goals but was also the scorer of one of those goals, as he fell victim to an own goal in stoppage time at the end of the first half. His stat line also provided a pretty poor showing for the defender in his return to the MLS, as his only defensive stat was one block.
