However, it is now known that he was taken off as a precaution, trying to maintain his fitness for the final they eventually qualified for. That said, this shouldn't be the biggest worry, and he is likely to still feature in the final, with the only question being if he will continue receiving the start or if Luke Shaw will replace him in the starting XI.
