Impact Tonali has cleared his suspension after a long 10 months on the sideline that forced him to not only miss the previous Premier League season but also Italy's Euro 2024 run this summer. The question was always going to be how fit he was following the time on the sidelines, as many wondered if he would be involved immediately. However, those questions have been answered, as he will be included immediately and could even start in their next contest, although a spot off the bench is more likely. Either way, he won't be in a bench role long if that is the case, with the midfielder expected to be a regular starter once fully integrated.

This continues to be something to monitor for the club as despite not being a starter, he is their next best option at forward in case Alexander Isak goes down. He will keep pushing for a return, looking to be fit as soon as possible, especially after missing out on 20 matches last season.

He has been training with the club over the pre-season and is likely in a decent spot to start receiving time immediately, which is great news for the club as he is projected to be a regular starter. However, his position for his return to play is still unknown, as he could see the start immediately while at least seeing a spot on the bench to begin. Once fully integrated, expect the Italian to start in almost every match, taking the spot of Sean Longstaff.
