Zac McGraw - Extends contract with Portland McGraw has signed a three-year contract extension with the option to further extend for an additional season with the Timbers, the club announced Tuesday.
Impact McGraw has 33 MLS appearances (13 starts) to his name after joining Portland out of Army University, and he scored his first league goal against Austin in September. The 25-year-old will be competing with Bill Tuiloma, Dario Zuparic and Larrys Mabiala for a starting spot in central defense next season, as he's signed on with the club through 2025 at least.

Claudio Bravo - Extends contract with Portland Bravo has signed a four-year contract extension with the Timbers with the option for further extend for an additional season, the club announced Wednesday.
Impact Bravo has kept a combined 13 clean sheets and recorded four assists across his 53 MLS appearances (all starts) over the last two seasons from left-back, and the 25-year-old has just signed on with the club through the 2026 campaign at least.

Impact Niezgoda tallied nine goals and two assists across 23 MLS appearances (22 starts) to begin the season, but he started just one more time from late August on as he was supplanted by Dairon Asprilla up front in the XI. Sebastian Blanco - Comes off bench in season finale Blanco subbed on for the final 15 minutes or so of Sunday's 3-1 Decision Day defeat against Real Salt Lake.
Impact Blanco tallied seven goals and seven assists across 32 MLS appearances (20 starts) this season, usually lining up either in attacking midfield or in a front-two. This was the most playing time the 34-year-old has received in a campaign since 2019, and he figures to still be an important part of the Timbers' attack next season.

Impact Loria tallied two goals and an assist across 28 MLS appearances (just seven starts) for Portland this season, his lowest amount of playing time since 2019. The 25-year-old fell behind breakout star Santiago Moreno in the depth chart on the right wing for much of the campaign.

Impact Chara featured in every single MLS game for Portland this season, making 33 starts anywhere from either wing, attacking midfield, the front-two or even sometimes defensive midfield. The 31-year-old finished the campaign with four goals and three assists, all of them coming before the end of June, but he remains one of the first names on the Timbers' teamsheets heading into 2023.

David Ayala - Backup option in rookie season Ayala made a clearance in Sunday's 3-1 Decision Day defeat against Real Salt Lake.
Impact Ayala made 21 appearances (eight starts) in his debut season in MLS after joining Portland from Estudiantes in February. The 20-year-old was behind Diego Chara, Eryk Williamson and Cristhian Paredes in the midfield depth chart but he will just hope to continue improving and getting more opportunities in 2023.

Cristhian Paredes - Wins two tackles in season finale Paredes made an interception and won two of three tackles in Sunday's 3-1 Decision Day defeat against Real Salt Lake.
Impact Paredes tallied two goals and two assists across 27 MLS appearances (20 starts) in midfield this season for Portland, but he still looked like the backup option behind Diego Chara and Eryk Williamson whenever all three were available. Chara will be 37 in April however, so the 24-year-old Paredes could supplant him in the preferred XI soon.

Eryk Williamson - Has up-and-down season Williamson was an unused substitute in Sunday's Decision Day defeat against Real Salt Lake.
Impact Williamson made 22 MLS appearances (13 starts) this season as he returned from an ACL tear he suffered in August 2021. The 25-year-old at times looked incredible -- he had five assists mostly from defensive midfield -- but he also still missed plenty of game time due to multiple minor injuries throughout the campaign. He will be a starter as long as he's fit and available in 2023.

Impact Chara remains indispensable for Portland and this season he kept four clean sheets and recorded two assists in 28 MLS appearances (27 starts) in defensive midfield. He'll be turning 37 years old near the start of the 2023 campaign, so presumably he'll have to be rotated out of the XI at some point.

Impact Bonilla hasn't featured for the senior side since May as the 22-year-old was more of a reserve team player in MLS NEXT Pro in 2022, a step down from starting 18 games in MLS across the previous two seasons. Heading into 2023, Bonilla will be competing mainly with Juan David Mosquera for the starting right-back spot, but Bill Tuiloma and Santiago Moreno are also options at the position depending on what formation Portland chooses to employ.

Impact Mosquera started in Portland's final two games of the season after arriving from Indepentiente Medellin in the summer. The 20-year-old will hope to replace the departing Jose Van Rankin as the club's starting right-back/right wing-back in 2023, though he will have to compete with more experienced options the likes of Santiago Moreno and Bill Tuiloma for the spot.

Jose van Rankin - Returning to Mexico from loan The Timbers did not exercise Van Rankin's purchase option in his loan contract and he will return to Chivas Guadalajara at the turn of the calendar year.
Impact Van Rankin made 61 MLS appearances (54 starts) at right-back during his two seasons with Portland, and he scored a goal against Toronto in August to go along with his three assists from 2021. But the 29-year-old only made one appearance since the start of September and he will be returning to Liga MX with Guadalajara once his loan deal expires in January.
