Matt Crooks - Complete Salt Lake move Crooks completed a move to Real Salt Lake from Middlesbrough, the club announced.

Impact Crooks is another midfield addition for Salt Lake, who are looking to revamp their midfield following a lackluster season. The midfielder finished his 2023 with Middlesbrough with a solid three goals and six assists in 25 appearances. If he can hit the ground running he could be a major contributor with Salt Lake right from opening day.

Pablo Ruiz - Active in friendly Ruiz (knee) played 45 minutes during Tuesday's friendly against Fredrikstad.

Impact Ruiz got back on the pitch for half of Tuesday's Atlantic Cup friendly. The midfielder had his season ended late on by a knee injury but was able to get back on the bench during pre-season. With Ruiz back on the pitch he should be an option for a Feb. 21 trip to Miami for the season opener.

Alexandros Katranis - Joins Real Salt Lake Katranis has completed a move to Real Salt Lake and signed a two-year contract with options for both 2026 and 2027, the club announced Friday.

Impact Katranis has plenty of experience in Europe, as he has had stints in countries such as Poland, Belgium, Greece and Turkey before joining RSL. The 25-year-old should be a regular starter at the back for Real Salt Lake from the start of the regular season given his experience in Europe.

Fidel Barajas - Signs with Salt Lake Barajas has agreed to a two year deal with Real Salt Lake, with a club option for the 2027 and the 2028 season.

Impact Barajas was named USL best young player in 2023 after scoring five goals and 11 assists in 34 appearances with the Charleston Battery. He led his team to the USL Championship, where they lost to the Phoenix Rising. The young 17-year-old will likely start the year off with the reserves until he is ready to see MLS competition.
