Ainsley Maitland-Niles - Makes XI debut against Everton Maitland-Niles made three tackles (one won) across 67 minutes in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Everton.

Impact Maitland-Niles had previously appeared in relief at Wolves earlier this season but was making his season debut Saturday in the starting XI for Southampton. He subbed off in the 67th minute, giving way to Samuel Edozie for rest purposes. Notably, he was unavailable off the bench for Saints' last match, so his presence in the XI is a promising sign here.

Impact Fantasy points were at a premium in this matchup, and Ward-Prowse salvaged his final line with some decent peripheral numbers. His 10 crosses and seven corners both paced all players on the pitch Saturday, but Southampton were unable to finish clinically in the final third. Still, as long as Ward-Prowse maintains his role as Saints' preferred set piece option, he warrants strong fantasy consideration whenever his squad take the pitch.

Gavin Bazunu - Three saves in loss Bazunu made three saves (two goals conceded) during Saturday's 2-1 loss to Everton.

Impact Bazunu did relatively well to keep his side competitive throughout this contest, but he was unable to stop strikes from Conor Coady and Dwight McNeil in the 52nd and 54th minutes, respectively. On the league season, he's averaging just over two saves per start and has yet to record his first EPL clean sheet.

Impact Adams did well to find an unmarked Joe Aribo in the center of the box shortly after half time, and Aribo did the rest to briefly put Southampton ahead in this contest. It was a brief bit of efficiency on an afternoon where Saints were otherwise rather shaky in the final third. The assist will certainly help to salvage his fantasy outcome this time out, but Adams is now riding a five-game scoreless streak.

Impact Aribo found the starting XI in this one after appearing as a sub last time out, and he certainly made the most of his time on the pitch. Che Adams found the attacker in the middle of the penalty area shortly after half time, and Aribo deposited a neat strike into the bottom right corner. The goal is his second in eight league appearances (five starts) this season.
