Impact Werner was in the midst of some of his best form in years with three goals and an assist in his last four appearances but will now miss a couple of league matches and the World Cup, an increasingly realistic goal until now. Impact Werner had scored two goals from seven shots (four on target) across his previous two appearances in all competitions, but his night ended early on Wednesday due to injury. Leipzig plenty of depth in the forms of Christopher Nkunku, Andre Silva, Yussuf Poulsen (calf), Dominik Szoboszlai and Emil Forsberg to replace Werner up front in the short term if necessary, but he will hope this injury isn't serious enough to put his place in Germany's World Cup squad in doubt.
