Sean Johnson - Held out against Charlotte Johnson was held out from Saturday's match against Charlotte due to an undisclosed issue he picked up in training, per John Molinaro of the TFC Republic.

Impact Johnson was a surprise absence from the team sheet Saturday, as he was reported to have felt something in training Friday, leading to his being kept on the sidelines. He was reevaluated before the match, with the club deciding to hold him out, appearing to be more of a cautionary move, as they do not want to risk their starting goalkeeper only three matches into the season. Luke Gavran gets the start in Johnson's place, as he will now eye a return against New York City next Saturday, March 16.

Jordan Perruzza - Not ready for return Perruzza (groin) is out for Saturday's match against Charlotte.

Impact Perruzza will continue his tenure on the sidelines, now missing all three of the club's opening matches of the season due to a groin issue. There has yet to be much of an update on the player since the start of the season, so a return date is hard to present at the moment, but he will hope to get on the team sheet next week to face New York City on Saturday.

Alonso Coello - Busy defensively Coello had one clearance and three interceptions in Sunday's 1-0 win against New England Revolution.

Impact Coello went the full 90 during Sunday's win, and did most of his work behind the ball. Coello is never going to be a huge offensive threat but he should see big minutes in the midfield and he will consistently find some defensive contributions. Coello has started each of the first two matches in 2024.

Raoul Petretta - Passable in win Petretta had one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Sunday's 1-0 victory over New England Revolution.

Impact Petretta created a chance and wasn't a major defensive liability Sunday. Petretta improving to be a passable option at left-back isn't a high bar, he was dreadful in 2023 and really couldn't get much worse. While he hasn't been a world beater to open 2024 he's been better, which should be a nice boost out wide in Toronto.

Ayo Akinola - Quiet off bench Akinola recorded no stats in Sunday's 1-0 victory over New England Revolution. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 93rd minute.

Impact Akinola was given the chance for some minor minutes off the bench Sunday but didn't do much with them. It seems Prince-Osei Owusu will be the preferred attacking option ahead of Lorenzo Insigne. Akinola should still see some chances but a substantial role doesn't seem to the cards.

Jonathan Osorio - Busy creatively Osorio generated two shots (one on goal) and two chances created in Sunday's 1-0 win against New England Revolution.

Impact Osorio didn't get on the scoresheet during Sunday's win, but he was busy creatively throughout the match. The midfielder did well with his time on the ball and cam close to a pair of assists. Osorio will hope for better finishing ahead of him for some goal contributions moving forward.

Impact Servania continues to work alone to build back his strength in his knee following ACL surgery in October. He is at risk of missing most of the season, depending on how soon the midfielder can return to the grass. As of right now, he is set to miss the next few months as he aims for a come back in July.

Prince-Osei Owusu - Subbed off against New England Revolution Owusu generated one shot (zero on goal) in Sunday's 1-0 victory over New England Revolution.

Impact Owusu missed a big chance in the 14th minute. He also completed a dribble and recorded a tackle. He was replaced by Ayo Akinola in the 66th minute. Owusu has started both games this season but is yet to register a goal involvement.

Kosi Thompson - Comes off the bench against New England Revolution Thompson had two tackles (one won), two clearances and one interception in Sunday's 1-0 win against New England Revolution.

Impact Thompson replaced Raoul Petretta in the 78th minute. He still had a significant defensive impact. He has appeared off the bench in both games this season. His short loan stint at Lillestrom was also unimpressive as he accumulated only four appearances.

Impact Insigne netted the only goal of the game in the 27th minute with a fantastic curling effort. He successfully completed three dribbles and also contributed defensively with a tackle. This was his first goal of the campaign as he was unable to score against Cincinnati in the opener.
