Impact Even without his ankle injury, Cavani may not have cracked the starting XI for Uruguay, especially with youngsters Darwin Nunez and Facundo Pellistri. Still, Cavani has scored 58 goals in his international career and will almost certainly be one of the first players to come off the bench if the team needs a goal.

Impact Cavani will hope to return to full fitness for the opener. The forward is a crucial part of the Uruguayan attack alongside Luis Suarez and Darwin Nunez. Cavani didn't play the final two matches before the World Cup break due to the ankle issue.

Yunus Musah - Fit for England match Musah should be fit for Friday's match against England after leaving Monday's 1-1 draw with Wales with some cramps, according to David McDonnell of the Daily Mirror.

Impact Musah shouldn't be as big of a fitness concern as Weston McKennie or Sergino Dest, who both came into the tournament carrying knocks. All three should be starting for the toughest test of the group stage when Friday comes around.

Impact Prior to the World Cup, Guillamon started three of his last five appearances for club Valencia in which he generated one goal on one shot, one assist, nine crosses (six accurate) and five corners. If he does start in future matches, Guillamon could be a decent fantasy play.

Hugo Guillamon - Could be out until final group game Guillamon (knee) remains limited in training and it's possible he won't be fit until the final group stage contest against Japan on Dec. 1, according to Joaquin Maroto of AS.

Impact Guillamon continues to struggle with a knee injury but there's obviously an expectation that he will return before the end of the tournament, otherwise he'd have been replaced like Jose Gaya (ankle). Even if Guillamon is fit, he's more of a backup option at center-back and in central-midfield.

Hugo Guillamon - Continues to be limited in training Guillamon (undisclosed) was a limited participant during Friday's training session, according to MARCA.

Impact Guillamon has only recently been promoted to the senior national team and is struggling with injuries during the short preparation period for the World Cup. Unless he can't recover from his issue and is removed from the team, Guillamon should be a reserve midfielder when the tournament opens Wednesday against Costa Rica.

Jose Luis Gaya - Out of World Cup Gaya will miss the World Cup after suffering a low-grade ankle sprain in training this week.

Impact It's a brutal injury for Gaya, was slated to start at left-back for Spain the majority of their matches. Luis Enrique will name a replacement in the coming hours and it's expected to be Alex Balde, as Jordi Alba probably won't be asked to start every match for them. As for Gaya, he has a little more than a month to recover for Valencia's next match, which is the final day of the year.

Capable of playing as a center-back in addition to his normal role in midfield, Guillamon will hope to be ready by the Nov. 23 opener against Costa Rica.
