Denis Suarez - Suffers injury Suarez suffered an injury to his quadriceps in the Aug. 10 friendly against Brighton, according to his club.

Impact Suarez appears to be set to miss the club's season opener after picking up an injury just a few days ago. He is dealing with an injury in the quadriceps, although a timetable for his return is still up in the air, with that depending on his evolution. He wasn't expected to start, making his absence not as important, although they will still hope to have him soon as he will serve as a solid rotational player.

Ayoze Perez - Transfered to Villarreal Perez has completed a transfer to Villarreal from Betis, according to his new club.

Impact Perez is switching from one Spanish team to another, having inked a deal until 2028 with Villarreal after two seasons with Betis. In the most recent campaign, he started in 29 of his 31 appearances, notching nine goals on 68 shots and one assist on 30 chances created to go along with 19 crosses. He probably will hold a similar role with his new club, likely taking over Arnaut Danjuma's spot on the left flank, although that is still up in the air.

Juan Foyth - Suffers knee injury Foyth has suffered a knee injury and is expected to be sidelined for around two months, Victor Franch of MARCA reports.

Impact A two-month recovery process is a best-case scenario for Foyth, as there was a chance he could've suffered an ACL injury that would've sidelined him for most of the 2024/25 season, if not the entire campaign. Foyth sustained the injury during a friendly match against Nottingham Forest on Aug. 2.

Nicolas Pepe - Signs with Villarreal Pepe has agreed to terms to sign with Villarreal out of free agency, according to his new club.

Impact Pepe has found his new club after departing Trabzonspor this offseason, joining Villarreal on a two-year deal. This is a decent signing for the club, as he is a solid player who uses his speed on the right flank to prevail in one-on-one situations and create numerous chances. In the most recent campaign, he started in 14 of his 23 appearances, notching six goals and three assists. He will likely see a similar role with Villarreal, not being an everyday starter and playing more of a rotational role.

Denis Suarez - Plays against St. Etienne Suarez (quadriceps) was in the starting lineup for Villarreal's pre-season friendly against St. Etienne on July 27.

The young 22-year-old is set to be the number on goalkeeper for Villarreal for the next coming years after committing his future with the team.
