Yasiel Puig took on first base coaching duties at Triple-A
Yasiel Puig is trying to make the best of his demotion to Triple-A.
After the Dodgers outfielder was placed on trade waivers over the weekend, Oklahoma City benched Puig for Sunday's game.
So instead of cheering on his teammates from the bench, Puig took on the duty of first base coach.
It was Puig's first time in the role, and he appeared happy to be on the field supporting his teammates while they cruised to a 6-1 victory over Colorado Springs.
He even tweeted about the experience after the game.
While the Dodgers seem likely to part ways with Puig, FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal believes that LA will wait until the offseason to do so, noting that they will then have the chance to work out a deal with 29 teams, instead of the one who claims him.

Puig trade more likely in off-season, when #Dodgers could negotiate with 29 teams rather than one - assuming he is claimed, which is likely.
