Impact Francis compiled just two points on one shot attempt prior to his exit from Saturday's contest, and it appears he may not be able to rejoin the action. If not, he'll turn his sights toward Tuesday against Oklahoma State for his next chance to play.

Ja'Vier Francis - Contributes on both ends Francis had 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and three blocks over 23 minutes during Saturday's 57-42 win over UCF.

Impact Francis made all four of his field-goal attempts, including three dunks, to spark his sixth double-digit output of the season on the offensive end. While the offensive production is a bonus, his production on the glass and on the defensive end has been a consistent for the Cougars. Francis posted his ninth-consecutive game with at least five rebounds and he's posted multiple blocked shots in seven of his last eight. While Francis is way down the list in scoring, averaging 6.4 points, he ranks second on the team in rebounds with 5.4 and first in blocks with 1.7 per contest.

J'wan Roberts - Knee issue limits time Roberts knee was bothering him during Houston's 57-42 win over UCF according to head coach Kelvin Sampson, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Impact Roberts only played 18 minutes as a result of the knee problem and logged four points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. The senior forward will hopefully be available for Houston's Tuesday game against BYU, though his future status and severity of this knee issue both remain unclear.

Impact Cryer once again filled his role as the primary scoring option for Houston, shooting over 50% from the field and from behind the arc for the second consecutive game. Saturday marked the fifth time this season Cryer has scored 20 or more and the 11th time in 14 games he's scored at least 15. For the year, Cryer is averaging 17.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.9 steals in 31.1 minutes.

Jamal Shead - Season high 11 dimes Shead produced eight points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), five rebounds, 11 assists, four blocks and one steal over 30 minutes during Saturday's 89-55 victory over West Virginia.

Impact It was the first time in four games that Shead failed to score in double-figures, but that is far from a concern as the 6'1" point guard made his usual all-around contributions, including a season-high in assists and matching a career high with four blocks. Shead will never be a prolific scorer, but remains one of the best all-around performers in the country. Over his last 10 games, Shead is averaging 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.0 blocks over 28.6 minutes per contest.

Impact Previously diagnosed with a quadriceps injury, Roberts is "doing better" as he deals with a knee injury, which explains the expectation of him being available Saturday. Excluding the Dec. 21 game he got injured in, Roberts is averaging 8.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks across Houston's 2023-24 season.
