Isaiah Wong - Leads Canes past UNC Wong amassed 25 points (9-18 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 85-57 victory over North Carolina.

Impact Wong was one of three 20-point scorers for the Hurricanes as Miami was able to completely dismantle the Tar Heels and improve to 6-1 to begin ACC play. He's now the second-leading scorer for Miami at 16.4 ppg, which is just a tick below last season's mark of 17.1 ppg. Kameron McGusty -- who scored 20 Tuesday -- leads the way at 18.1ppg.

Impact McGusty was the hero Saturday against Duke but was unable to repeat that performance against the Seminoles, and in fact, he needed 14 shots just to score 17 points. At the very least he extended his double-digit scoring streak to 12 games, and he is averaging 18.5 points per game in that span.

Impact Moore has been settling nicely as one of the Canes' most reliable scoring and playmaking threats, and his recent numbers back that up. He has scored 18 or more points in each of his last four games -- despite sharing the court with Isaiah Wong and Kameron McGusty -- and has also dished out six or more dimes in three of those contests. He's averaging 20.3 points, 5.3 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in four January contests.

Impact McGusty hit a hanging layup in traffic with 22.8 seconds left and that proved to be the difference as Miami stunned the Blue Devils in this one. Seeing McGusty as Miami's main scoring weapon and a pivotal cog on offense shouldn't surprise anyone, though. He's averaging a career-high 18.1 points per game.

Impact There's no question the total of steals was noticeable, but Miller also ended with double-digit points and was just two boards away from completing a double-double. He's averaging 11.5 points per game since the beginning of December.

For what is worth, McGusty has now recorded multiple steals in four straight contests. He's averaging 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game across eight contests.

He has scored in double digits just twice over his last six contests.

Impact Miller has started 10 of a possible 13 games for Miami this season, but the George Mason transfer has never been considered the primary scoring threat with Kameron McGusty, Charlie Moore and Isaiah Wong currently occupying that mantle. This was only Miller's third double-digit scoring effort of the year, but all three of those performances have came in Miami's last five contests, suggesting he may be turning a corner. At the very least, Miller showed he's plenty capable of getting hot from distance. Less volume has also resulted in more efficiency, as the junior forward is currently on pace to shoot a career-best 35.7 percent from outside.
