Impact The Hurricanes are playing exceptionally well to start the season. While Matt Cleveland and Wooga Poplar have delivered impressive displays to begin the year, Sunday was Pack's turn to make an impact. This was the first time he surpassed the 20-point mark in the 2023-24 season, but it's worth noting he has scored 15-plus points in three straight contests.

Impact Players like Norchad Omier and Matt Cleveland certainly stand out for Miami, but there's no doubt Joseph made his presence felt against UCF. Outside of ending as one of the 'Canes top scorers with 15 points, he also filled the stat sheet with stellar contributions on other categories, particularly on the defensive end. Joseph is not expected to be one of Miami's best scorers on a regular basis going forward, but there's no doubt he has started the season on a strong note.

Impact Cleveland transferred to Miami from Florida State in the offseason after impressing in a starting role with the Seminoles, and he made his presence felt in this season opener with a double-double. He racked up 11 of those last season.

Impact Poplar couldn't have asked for a better start to the season, as he was one of Miami's top performers in this blowout win. This outing certainly backed up Miami's head coach Jim Larranaga's words, when he said in preseason that he expects Poplar to be a first-team All-ACC player in 2023-24. For what is worth, the junior guard averaged 8.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 23.5 minutes across 37 appearances in 2022-23.
