Felton leads East Carolina against Coastal Carolina after 22-point game

East Carolina faces the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers after RJ Felton scored 22 points in East Carolina's 97-70 victory over the North Carolina Wesleyan Battling Bishops

Chase Sowell - Catches 50-yard touchdown Sowell caught 1 of 2 targets for 50 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 49-14 win versus Florida Atlantic.

Impact Sowell started off Thursday's game perfectly as on the second play of the game he scored a 50-yard receiving touchdown, his third straight game with a score. However, he was only targeted once throughout the rest of the game, so his overall performance ended up being mildly disappointing. The game script caused Katin Houser to not throw the ball much, so Sowell's season-lows in targets and receptions should not cause too much concern.

Jhari Patterson - Productive in blowout win Patterson gathered in all five targets for 40 yards during Thursday's 49-14 victory versus Florida Atlantic.

Impact Patterson was unable to score one of the Pirates' seven touchdowns Thursday, but he still had a very productive day. He set a season-high with 40 receiving yards and broke out with 61 yards on the ground thanks to runs of 30 yards and 22 yards. He came into the game with just one rushing attempt on the season. The team showed a clear motivation to get him more involved in the offense so he's worth keeping an eye on as the season nears its close.

Anthony Smith - Scores again Thursday Smith accrued three receptions (on four targets) for 120 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 49-14 win over Florida Atlantic.

Impact Smith scored his fifth touchdown of the season Thursday, a 46-yard reception in the third quarter. He has now scored in three consecutive games and has gone for over 100 yards in back-to-back outings. He nearly scored another touchdown in the second quarter, but he was tackled at the one-yard line following a 64-yard catch. Given how well the Pirates' passing offense is working currently, Smith is worth heavy consideration even though his volume is not that high.

Winston Wright Jr. - Scores twice Thursday Wright caught all three targets for 80 yards and two touchdowns during Thursday's 49-14 win versus Florida Atlantic.

Impact Wright scored a pair of touchdowns in the first quarter Thursday, catches of 47 yards and eight yards which gave him his first multi-touchdown game of the season. He has now scored a touchdown in six of his last seven games. Wright also notched a season-high 80 yards in the win, all of which came in the first half. He only had three targets in the game, tied for his fewest this season, but that can be attributed to the Pirates taking a 28-point lead into halftime.

Rahjai Harris - Solid in Thursday's win Harris recorded eight carries for 55 yards and one touchdown and gathered in their only target for eight yards during Thursday's 49-14 win against Florida Atlantic.

Impact Harris split the backfield in Thursday's win as five different Pirates received at least three carries. That was in large part due to the team jumping out to a big lead. Harris received his fewest touches since Week 1 with just nine, but he salvaged a productive day with a one-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter. Despite the splitting of touches, he is still the team's No. 1 back and should see an increased role Thursday at Tulsa.

Katin Houser - Dominates in win over FAU Houser was 17-for-22 passing for 343 yards and five touchdowns during Thursday's 49-14 victory over Florida Atlantic. He also had five rushes for 52 yards with one touchdown.

Impact Just five days after throwing five touchdown passes versus Temple, Houser put up an even better performance versus FAU. He tossed five touchdowns once again -- three of which were over 45 yards -- and threw a season-high 343 yards while completing over 77 percent of his passes. He also scored a 35-yard rushing touchdown in the waning seconds of the first half, his second of the season. Houser has been red-hot in his last three games as he has 15 total touchdowns and nearly 900 yards passing. He faces another favorable matchup Thursday at Tulsa.

Impact Sowell was highly productive with Katin Houser again Saturday as he went for over 100 yards and caught a touchdown in his second straight game. He scored a 45-yard touchdown with eight seconds left in the first half, his second score of the season. He has 11 catches (on 17 targets) for 255 yards and two touchdowns in Houser's two starts. If Houser continues to start, which seems likely, Sowell will clearly benefit.

Anthony Smith - 100 yards and score Saturday Smith reeled in 4 of 6 targets for 101 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 56-34 win against Temple.

Impact Smith scored his fourth touchdown of the season Saturday, a 42-yard reception early in the first quarter. He also set a season high with 101 receiving yards which was the second most on the team. While he has not seen high volume in the last five games, his three touchdowns have supplemented that fairly well. He has also scored twice during the two Katin Houser starts, so he should have some decent value down the stretch.

Impact Wright scored his fourth touchdown of the season Saturday, a nine-yard reception in the second quarter. He made three other catches in the game and lost two yards on those receptions. Although he made four catches in his third straight game, his mere seven yards receiving was disappointing. Still, he has caught two touchdowns in Katin Houser's two starts so he will still have value down the stretch.

Rahjai Harris - Excellent versus Temple Harris had 11 carries for 130 yards and one touchdown and hauled in 0 of 1 targets for zero yards during Saturday's 56-34 victory against Temple.

Impact Harris had just 11 carries Saturday but he made the most of his opportunities. He rushed for 130 yards -- one away from matching his season high -- and scored his fourth rushing touchdown of the season. Harris was out-carried by London Montgomery, a surprising turn of events, however he still far out-produced his teammate. He faces another favorable matchup after a bye week versus Florida Atlantic.

Katin Houser - Lights up Temple Houser completed 16 of 29 passes for 269 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions during Saturday's 56-34 win over Temple.

Impact Houser made his second straight start Saturday and lit up his conference foe. He threw five touchdowns, to five different receivers, as his team put up a season-high 56 points. Although he did throw two interceptions, his five touchdown passes will certainly catch the eyes of his coach. After two straight strong outings, it's likely that Houser will start the rest of the season over Jake Garcia. Given what he's shown in his two starts and the fact that he has three favorable matchups coming up, he's a decent option for the rest of the season.

Impact Kelly will now miss his second straight game. The tight end has 13 grabs for 113 yards and a score this season. In his stead, Desirrio Riles figures to be second-string tight end for ECU.

Impact Bond will miss his fourth consecutive game Saturday as he continues to battle through an undisclosed injury. Prior to his injury he accumulated 92 rushing yards and a touchdown through four games. His next chance to suit up is Nov. 7 versus Florida Atlantic.
