Zylan Perry - Tops 100 yards Perry accrued 10 rushes for 104 yards and one touchdown and hauled in their only target for one yard during Saturday's 34-10 win versus Kennesaw State.

Impact Perry's workload doubled from Week 1 to Week 2, but he didn't see a dropoff in efficiency. Perry averaged nine yards per carry in the opener before logging 10.4 YPC against Kennesaw State. Perry and Elijah Davis (11 carries) were ULL's top two backs, with Tylon Citizen (five carries) mixing in as a tertiary option. Dre'lyn Washington didn't play in the contest.

Jaydon Johnson - Starting season opener Johnson is listed as a starter for Saturday's opener versus Grambling State, Kevin Foote of The Baton Rouge Advocate reports.

Impact Johnson has been named as a starting receiver to open up the Ragin' Cajuns' season. He saw an uptick in snaps towards the end of last season, but still only caught two passes for 28 yards in 10 games.

Chandler Fields - Not named starting QB Louisiana-Lafayette's 2024 season will open without Fields as its starting quarterback, Kevin Foote of The Acadiana Advocate reports.

Impact Unfortunately for Fields, his 2023 and offseason effort was not enough to defeat Ben Wooldridge, who will be Louisiana-Lafayette's starting quarterback when the team begins its season Saturday against Grambling State. Like during all his season passed, he will have to wait for a relief opportunity.

Ben Wooldridge - Will open season as starting QB Louisiana-Lafayette's 2024 season will open with Wooldridge as its starting quarterback, Kevin Foote of The Acadiana Advocate reports.

Impact Wooldridge and Fields were competing to be Louisiana-Lafayette's starting quarterback. Even though Fields played relatively well, he only received the QB1 position after Wooldridge suffered a season-ending injury. Before it, Wooldridge had excelled for ULL, whose last two seasons benefited from more than 2,000 passing yards and almost 25 touchdowns he logged.

KeDarius Wade - Missing at least two games Wade will miss at least two games of the 2024 season due to violating team rules, Kevin Foote of The Advocate reports.

Impact The specific violation is unknown, but Wade will now not return until at least Sep. 21 against Tulane. Whether he'll be back for that game should be disclosed in the coming weeks.

The redshirt sophomore wide receiver will have to focus on his off-field work in hopes of getting back on the field for next year. The 6-foot-1 wide receiver reeled in 17 receptions for 189 yards across nine games during the 2023 season.

Lance LeGendre - Healthy after offseason surgery LeGendre is healthy after an offseason shoulder surgery, Kevin Foote of The Acadiana Advocate reports.

Impact LeGendre missed spring practices due to shoulder surgery, but he is now back healthy and ready for the upcoming season. He missed all of last season after he was suspended by the team following him being charged with battery, however those charges were dropped in late October and now he will be fully available for the Ragin' Cajuns.

Jathan Caldwell - Suffers another setback Caldwell practiced to begin fall camp, but suffered another injury and is out once again, per Kevin Foote of The Baton Rouge Advocate.

Impact Caldwell has been banged up throughout the offseason. After missing the entire 2023 season, he missed the UL-Lafayette's spring game. The tight end reportedly began fall camp healthy, but has since injured himself again. That leaves his status for the opener against Grambling State in question.
