Roc Taylor - Quiet versus Rice Taylor recorded four receptions (on 11 targets) for 52 yards during Friday's 27-20 win against Rice.

Impact Taylor had a fairly quiet outing Friday as he gained just 52 yards, his fewest since Week 7. Despite his quiet day he still led the team in receiving yards and tied for the team lead in receptions, but he was hindered by Seth Henigan's uncharacteristically inefficient performance. Taylor will look to bounce back next Saturday versus UAB.

Mario Anderson Jr. - Dominant Friday Anderson recorded 25 rushes for 144 yards and one touchdown and gathered in 1 of 2 targets for 31 yards during Friday's 27-20 victory versus Rice.

Impact Anderson was back on track Friday as he once again led the Tigers to a win. He received 25 carries, his second-most this season, and ran for 144 yards, also his second-most this season. He also scored a 10-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter, his 17th touchdown of the season. He faces another favorable matchup next Saturday versus UAB.

Seth Henigan - Inefficient versus Rice Henigan completed 14 of 31 passes for 159 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Friday's 27-20 victory over Rice. He also had five rushes for 18 yards.

Impact Henigan did not have a great outing Friday as he completed less than 50 percent of his passes and threw for a season-low 159 yards. He also threw an interception in his third straight game and tossed just one touchdown. It was a surprisingly inefficient outing for Henigan, but the Tigers leaned on Mario Anderson once again to get yet another win. He faces a favorable matchup versus UAB next Saturday.

Impact Thomas operated as the backup of Mario Anderson, who had a monster performance with 25 carries for 144 yards and a touchdown. Still, Thomas made the most of his touches and managed to score his seventh TD of the campaign. His goal-line usage makes him a decent fantasy option, but the backup role limits his upside a bit.

Demeer Blankumsee - Makes four grabs Blankumsee had four catches for 25 yards in Friday's 27-20 win over Rice.

Impact Blankumsee looked good and ready to go during warmups, and that was reflected once the game started. The wideout recorded a team-high four catches, giving him 38 on the year. He's also scored five touchdowns and should remain a key piece in the Tigers' passing attack.

Impact Silverfield not publicly updating Blankumsee's injury status suggests there may still be a problem with the latter. While the wideout's injury status may be more questionable than he is probable, there is still enough time for his availability of Memphis' game Friday against Rice.

Impact Considering that Bussey is a redshirt junior who participated in eight games of Memphis' 2024 season, 2025 should be his last year of collegiate eligibility. He finished this particular year with 10 receptions for 147 yards and one touchdown, all career highs.

Impact Drake had a productive day Saturday, highlighted by his 24-yard touchdown catch near the end of the fourth quarter, his first touchdown of the season. He also caught five passes for the third time this season and his eight targets were the second most he's seen in a game this campaign. He still sits firmly behind Roc Taylor and Demeer Blankumsee (undisclosed) in terms of production, but Drake has still shown an ability to put up strong performances.

Impact Taylor set season highs across the board Saturday, putting up season bests in receptions, targets and yards. He had double digit targets for the fifth time in his last six games and he has also caught at least six passes five times over that stretch. Taylor has been very consistent this season and although he only has two touchdowns through nine games, he's a reliable option every week.

Demeer Blankumsee - Productive prior to exit Blankumsee (undisclosed) logged six receptions (on eight targets) for 142 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 44-36 defeat against Texas-San Antonio.

Impact Blankumsee had easily his best performance of the season Saturday despite leaving the game in the first half. In the span of three minutes in the second quarter, Blankumsee caught touchdowns of 21 yards and 69 yards, helping the Tigers jump out to a 24-14 lead. While celebrating that second touchdown, he appeared to hyperextend his leg and was forced out of the game before returning for a single play later in the game. Fresh off his best performance of the season, Blankumsee's status for Friday's game versus Rice is in question, however the fact that he was able to return to the game after his injury is somewhat promising.

Anthony Landphere - 73 yards versus UTSA Landphere gathered in 6 of 8 targets for 73 yards during Saturday's 44-36 defeat against Texas-San Antonio.

Impact Landphere saw a season-high eight targets in Saturday's loss, catching six of them. He set a season-high with 73 yards, his third game this season with over 60. He has had an inconsistent season and has not caught a touchdown since Week 3, but he's shown an ability to put up productive performances in about one third of his games.

Impact Although Anderson did not put up his typical yardage, he scored a pair of touchdowns to give him a nice performance. He opened up the scoring with a 16-yard rush in the first quarter, then caught a five-yard touchdown in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter. He now has 16 total touchdowns through nine games this season.

Impact Henigan put together his best performance of the season Saturday, it just so happened that came during a shocking loss. He set season highs with 454 passing yards and four passing touchdowns. He also attempted over 50 passes for the second time this season, both of which came during the Tigers' two losses. Henigan has proven his ability to put up elite performances when his team is losing, although that is unlikely to be the case in his next two matchups.

Demeer Blankumsee - Returns for single play Saturday Blankumsee (undisclosed) returned to Saturday's game against UTSA for a single play before exiting the game once again, per Frank Bonner II of The Daily Memphian.

Impact Blankumsee had previously left the game against the Roadrunners with an undisclosed injury and was seen heading to the locker room. Though he returned for just one play, it's very encouraging to see the senior receiver was able to get back on the field, indicating that his injury may not have been as serious as initially thought. His status will be worth monitoring throughout the week, but Blankumsee can likely be looked at as probable for the Tigers' upcoming game against Rice this Friday.
