Eli Heidenreich - Scores twice versus Bucknell Heidenreich notched two carries for seven yards and reeled in 4 of 5 targets for 74 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 49-21 win against Bucknell.

Impact Heidenreich scored a pair of receiving touchdowns Saturday, a nine-yarder from Blake Horvath in the second quarter and then a 20-yarder from Braxton Woodson early in the third quarter. He also caught a 2-point conversion late in the first half. While he's listed as a running back, he established himself as Navy's best option in the passing game last season, scoring four touchdowns and leading the team in targets. After doing more of the same in the season opener, Heidenreich could be in for a big season, especially for a Navy pass-catcher.

Shane Reynolds - Scores in Saturday's win Reynolds totaled four rushes for 19 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 49-21 win against Bucknell.

Impact Reynolds scored his first career collegiate touchdown Saturday, a five-yard run late in the fourth quarter. All of his four carries came on that final drive with the second-team offense in to close the game. While it was a nice moment for him to get into the endzone, it's unlikely he sees much work going forward.

Alex Tecza - Quiet open to season Tecza logged 12 rushes for 40 yards and one touchdown and caught their only target for 10 yards during Saturday's 49-21 win over Bucknell.

Impact While Tecza led the team in rushing attempts, he ran for just 3.3 yards per carry, the fewest among the eight Midshipmen to receive multiple carries. He did score a touchdown though, a three-yarder early in the second quarter. Tecza took over the backfield for portions of last season, and even though he will have to share it in 2024, he appears to still be the No. 1 option.

Brandon Chatman - Catches TD Saturday Chatman recorded six rushes for 47 yards and caught 1 of 2 targets for 42 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 49-21 win over Bucknell.

Impact Chatman had a solid start to the season, highlighted by a 42-yard touchdown reception late in the first half. He also rushed six times -- the third most amongst Midshipmen running backs -- for a very solid 7.8 yards per carry. Chatman appeared to be the No. 3 option at running back Saturday, but his big play ability guarantees him to be a part of the rotation.

Impact Woodson played most of the second half Saturday after losing out on the starting job to Blake Horvath. He had a decent performance, tossing one touchdown and adding another on the ground. With Navy's schedule quickly moving into conference play, Woodson will likely be on the sidelines for most of the rest of the season barring an injury.
