Elic Ayomanor - Manages to score in blowout loss Ayomanor compiled four receptions (on 10 targets) for 55 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 40-10 loss to Southern Methodist.

Impact Ayomanor was targeted 10 times, which is a step up from last week's blowout loss where he only saw five targets. Stanford made a concerted effort to get its star receiver the ball, and was rewarded with a touchdown and 55 yards. It was the wideout's fourth score of the season, but he's still only topped 100 yards once - in the opener against TCU - and is suffering from Stanford's brutal quarterback play as of late.

Sam Roush - Leading receiver in loss Roush reeled in 6 of 8 targets for 75 yards during Saturday's 40-10 loss against Southern Methodist.

Impact Roush had his biggest day of the season against SMU. His eight targets and six catches were both season highs, as was his 75 yards. Still, this game looks more like an outlier for the tight end who hadn't tallied more than 33 total yards prior to Week 8, especially considering the nature of this lopsided blowout.

Micah Ford - Bottled up in blowout loss Ford recorded 13 carries for 31 yards and reeled in 2 of 3 targets for 11 yards during Saturday's 40-10 defeat versus Southern Methodist.

Impact Ford was unable to get going against SMU, which is unsurprising given the lopsided score. Teams that lose by 30 rarely get a chance to establish the run, and Stanford was no exception. The true freshman was once again the leading rusher for Stanford, however, and this is now Ford's backfield to lose in Palo Alto.

Ashton Daniels - Struggles before getting pulled Daniels completed 2 of 5 passes for 20 yards during Saturday's 40-10 loss versus Southern Methodist.

Impact Daniels started the game for Stanford, but was removed after a handful of fruitless drives to open the game and replaced with Elijah Brown. If there's a silver lining for Daniels, it's that Brown didn't fare much better, and was arguably a net negative against SMU. This quarterback situation in Palo Alto is nearing time to panic, as no matter who takes snaps for the Cardinal, it simply can't get steady play from its signal caller. It remains to be seen if Daniels will be the starter moving forward.

Elijah Brown - Struggles in place of Daniels Brown completed 16 of 32 passes for 153 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 40-10 defeat to Southern Methodist. He also had 12 rushes for -10 yards.

Impact Brown took over for Ashton Daniels after several drives, and didn't have an easier time than the former starting quarterback igniting this Stanford offense. He completed just 50 percent of his passes, and turned the ball over twice. Stanford has a legitimate quarterback issue at this point, and neither Brown, Daniels or Justin Lamson have proven to be the solution.

Even in a blowout loss, there's no way he should only accumulate five targets. The receiver will look to get back to the kind of production he's used to against SMU on Saturday.

Impact Davis was limited to 45 yards against the Irish. The true freshman dominated carries on the ground in the absence of Micah Ford and Sedrick Irvin. It's hard to have a productive day on the ground when your team loses by six touchdowns, but Davis has proven to be serviceable. When Ford and Irvin return, his snaps will likely be limited, but Davis has shown something here as a true freshman.
