Impact Villari had six rushing attempts in 11 games before Saturday's contest, when the senior handled 11 carries. After a strong start to the season, Villari and the rest of the Orange offense sputtered once Steve Angeli (Achilles) got injured. Impact Notre Dame blew the doors off Syracuse, and Filardi had a tough time dissecting the Fighting Irish defense. The true freshman quarterback threw three interceptions, two of which were brought back for a touchdown. If there's any silver lining from Filardi's start, it's that he offered some upside as a rusher and even scored his first career rushing touchdown. It's uncertain if he'll remain under center for Syracuse's season finale against Boston College.
