Trebor Pena - Solid day versus Eagles Pena recorded six receptions (on eight targets) for 47 yards during Saturday's 37-31 loss versus Boston College.

Impact Pena was a solid contributor for the Orange through the air, reeling in most of his targets. While he didn't make any huge plays, he's been Mr. Reliable for gunslinger Kyle McCord, who appears to have recaptured his early season magic. Pena hasn't seen fewer than seven targets since Week 5, and should continue to be featured heavily next week against California.

Darrell Gill Jr. - Reels in touchdown in loss Gill had two receptions (on three targets) for 50 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 37-31 defeat versus Boston College.

Impact Gill has been a steady participant in this passing game, but his touchdown was just his second of the season and his first since Week 5. Gill has a catch in every game he's played, but hasn't necessarily been a big-play threat or reliable - from a fantasy standpoint - on a week to week basis. Still, Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord appears to have found his groove, and that's good for all parties involved.

Oronde Gadsden II - Absurd catch highlights big day Gadsden logged eight receptions (on 12 targets) for 102 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 37-31 defeat to Boston College.

Impact Gadsden proved why he's one of the best tight ends in the nation against Boston College. His stat-line was phenomenal, but his preposterous one-handed backhand touchdown catch was even more impressive. Strangely, this was just the third game all season where he's seen double-digit targets. On a week to week basis, Gadsden has either been extremely quiet or poured on the production.

Jackson Meeks - Huge day in loss Meeks logged seven receptions (on 11 targets) for 105 yards during Saturday's 37-31 loss versus Boston College.

Impact Last week, Meeks was inefficient despite seeing double digit targets. This week, the receiver hauled in seven of 11 targets, rewarding quarterback Kyle McCord for looking his way so often. The receiver has been rather boom or bust week-to-week, but he remains one of the most targeted pass-catchers in this explosive Syracuse passing attack.

LeQuint Allen - Tops 100 all-purpose yards Allen notched 16 rushes for 50 yards and two touchdowns and hauled in 5 of 7 targets for 57 yards during Saturday's 37-31 defeat to Boston College.

Impact Allen has now collected at least 100 total yards in back-to-back games. The tailback has led the way for Syracuse's backfield all season, but he's also been a major receiving threat. Allen has at least two catches in every game and has at 368 receiving yards total this fall.

Kyle McCord - Nears 400 yards passing McCord was 31-for-48 passing for 392 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 37-31 defeat versus Boston College. He also had seven rushes for -13 yards.

Impact Syracuse's season continues to slip away, but McCord is back to the quarterback that he was during the Orange's hot start. His 392 yards were a season-high, and he's now thrown for 350-plus yards in five of his nine games this fall. More importantly, he protected the football after throwing six interceptions over the past two games, including five against Pittsburgh two weeks ago.

Impact Gadsden has been bottled up for two straight weeks now. His four targets were his lowest on the season. The tight end is coming off an injury, so it's possible the Orange didn't involve him in the game-plan all that much intentionally. Still, he'll look to bounce back next weekend in what should be an advantageous matchup against Boston College.

Jackson Meeks - Inefficient on 10 targets Meeks reeled in 5 of 10 targets for 36 yards during Saturday's 38-31 overtime win over Virginia Tech.

Impact When you're thrown the ball 10 times, you would like to put up more than 36 yards. Still, Meeks continues to rack up targets in this offense, and though he's been streaky from a yardage and touchdown standpoint, he's a fantasy outburst waiting to happen because of how often his quarterback Kyle McCord throws him the football.

Trebor Pena - Productive in high-volume day Pena hauled in 7 of 9 targets for 83 yards during Saturday's 38-31 overtime victory over Virginia Tech.

Impact At this rate, we know quarterback Kyle McCord is going to throw Trebor Pena the ball, and we know that more often than not, the talented receiver is going to come down with it. Pena has seen at least seven targets in every game but one this fall - McCord loves to throw his way. He'll look to keep up this excellent season next week against Boston College.

Justus Ross-Simmons - Explodes in first action of 2024 Ross-Simmons gathered in all four targets for 88 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 38-31 overtime win versus Virginia Tech.

Impact Ross-Simmons saw one target in Week seven, but this was his first real action of the campaign, and he didn't disappoint. The receiver reeled in each ball thrown his way, and scored twice as well. It remains to be seen if he can keep up this production, but quarterback Kyle McCord may have found himself yet another weapon in the passing game.

LeQuint Allen - First 100-yard outing of 2024 Allen logged 21 rushes for 121 yards and three touchdowns and gathered in 5 of 6 targets for 37 yards during Saturday's 38-31 overtime win against Virginia Tech.

Impact Allen topped his previous high in rushing yardage this season (98) with a statement 121-yard performance against the Hokies. His 21 carries also tied a season high, and demonstrated how much faith Syracuse has in its top tailback in what was a razor-thin game. He also caught five passes, which is the fifth time this season he's reeled in at least five catches in a game.

Kyle McCord - Bounces back vs. Hokies McCord completed 24 of 35 passes for 280 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 38-31 overtime victory versus Virginia Tech. He also had seven rushes for nega...

Impact You still don't love to see the interception from McCord, but in this case, one is better than the five he threw last week. It was a solid effort from the gunslinger, as his efficiency (68.6 percent completion) got back to where you want it even though this was his first game in 2024 in which he's thrown for under 300 yards. McCord may have come down to earth a bit after his red hot start to the season, but he's still operating this Orange offense fluently and productively.

It doesn't sound as if the wideout will be ready to suit up this week, but when he does, he should resume his role as one of the top pass-catchers in this offense. Through the first two games of the season, he reeled in eight catches for 97 yards.

Carlos Del Rio-Wilson - Out vs. Boston College Del Rio-Wilson (undisclosed) will be unavailable for Syracuse's clash with Boston College on Saturday, per Chris Carlson of The Syracuse Post-Standard.

Impact Del Rio-Wilson has yet to play this season. He won't get a hat against the Eagles, but with Michal Johnson serving as the primary backup to Kyle McCord, he wasn't likely to see the field regardless.

The level at which he will be involved moving forward remains to be seen, but with eight catches for 97 yards in two games prior to his departure, Haynes could provide a boost to the Syracuse passing attack down the stretch this season. A road game against Boston College will be his first opportunity to make his return to the field this Saturday.
