Impact Holloway is yet to play this season, and the receiver will almost certainly chalk 2024 up to a redshirt year. Still, he could return for games later in the campaign as he could still play in four contests while preserving his redshirt year. Either way, we're unlikely to see Harris suit up for the Hokies for the foreseeable future.

Impact Prioleau was forced to leave the game due to an apparent injury, and the usage of the walking boot suggests he's done for the rest of the contest. No clear diagnosis has been made yet, but Prioleau could be in line for a spell on the sidelines if the injury is confirmed to be serious. Prioleau's next chance to play would come against Boston College on Oct. 17 following the Hokies' bye week.

Ali Jennings - Warming up with second-team Jennings was spotted warming up with the second team ahead of Virginia Tech's clash with Stanford, Andy Bitter of Tech Sidelines reports.

Impact Jennings was very limited against Miami last week, although he did play. The wideout clearly still has some limitations, but he may be closer to full capacity this week. Either way, Jennings looks like he'll be good to at least play once again in Week 6.

Ayden Greene - Gets involved vs. 'Canes Greene compiled three receptions (on four targets) for 33 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 38-34 defeat versus Miami (FL).

Impact Greene did next to nothing through four weeks, but then saw four targets out of nowhere against Miami. He turned that into his first career touchdown along with 33 yards. It remains to be seen if this was just a flash in the pan from the true sophomore, but regardless, this is the kind of performance that tends to award more snaps moving forward.

Benji Gosnell - Scores in loss Gosnell reeled in 3 of 5 targets for 43 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 38-34 defeat versus Miami (FL).

Impact Gosnell saw the most targets he has all season with six against Miami. He turned that into his best yardage output since Week 2, and managed to score his first touchdown of the season. He'll look to build off that performance next week against Stanford.

Jaylin Lane - Scores on the ground vs. Miami Lane compiled four receptions (on five targets) for 49 yards during Friday's 38-34 loss against Miami (FL). He also had a 20-yard touchdown run.

Impact Lane remained a consistently involved receiver with five targets against the Hurricanes. He scored his second touchdown of the year on a 20-yard carry, only the third handoff he's taken all year. With a rather lukewarm Virginia Tech passing attack led by quarterback Kyron Drones, don't expect Lane to stuff the stat sheet with any sort of consistency.

Stephen Gosnell - Leading receiver in narrow loss Gosnell caught 4 of 6 targets for 53 yards during Friday's 38-34 defeat versus Miami (FL).

Impact Gosnell was the most-targeted receiver for the Hokies in Miami, and he made parlayed that into being the team's leading receiver as well. Still Gosnell has yet to truly put together a big performance in 2024, and considering his quarterback Kyron Drones has only hit the 200-yard passing mark once this season, it doesn't look like a statistical breakout is coming for the wideout.

Bhayshul Tuten - Runs wild in Miami Tuten compiled 19 carries for 141 yards and one touchdown and reeled in 4 of 5 targets for seven yards during Friday's 38-34 loss versus Miami (FL).

Impact Tuten had yet another huge day on the ground. He's now gone for at least 115 rushing yards in four straight games, and has scored at least one touchdown in every game this season for a total of nine on the year. At this point, Tuten appears inevitable, and he'll continue to lead the way for the Hokies' backfield moving forward.

Kyron Drones - Not enough to upset Miami Drones completed 19 of 33 passes for 189 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Friday's 38-34 defeat against Miami (FL). He also had nine rushes for 52 yards.

Impact Drones' day would've looked much better had his game-winning Hail Mary not been controversially overturned. Still, the quarterback did all he could to nearly upset the 'Canes, and put together a respectable stat-line in the process. Still, it was the fourth consecutive game Drones hasn't hit the 200-yard mark passing. If you're looking for big-time production through the air, look elsewhere.
