Zach Davies - Makes second rehab start Davies (back) allowed seven runs on 11 hits and one walk while striking out two over three innings for Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Impact Davies made his second rehab start in advance of what could be an activation this weekend. The organization seemed intent on having the right-hander up his pitch count regardless of the results. He threw 80 pitches and appears to be stretched out enough to rejoin the club and start Sunday, if the Diamondbacks choose to keep in the rotation. Davies has a 7.38 ERA over 12 starts.

Bryce Jarvis - Makes MLB debut Jarvis allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out three over three innings in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Rockies.

Impact Jarvis made his MLB debut after being summoned from Triple-A Reno on Sunday. He was given the bulk-inning role, throwing 51 pitches on what was a bullpen effort Tuesday. The right-hander was a starter in the minors but transitioned to the bullpen at Reno in preparation for a relief role for the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks are down a starter, so Jarvis could continue in a similar bulk-inning role for now. Zach Davies (back) was roughed up in his second rehab start Tuesday but did get up to 80 pitches. If the Diamondbacks hold him back for another rehab start, Jarvis could see bulk innings this coming Sunday.

Jordan Lawlar - Makes impression at Triple-A Lawlar went 1-for-4 with two walks, a home run, four RBI and an additional run scored for Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Impact Lawlar made a splash in his first game at the Triple-A level. He belted a 420-foot, two-run homer in his second plate appearance and later walked with the bases loaded twice. He was scheduled to debut for the Aces on Monday, per Jesse Borek of MLB.com, but there were flight issues -- cancelled flight, lost bags -- so his introduction waited until Tuesday. The shortstop was promoted over the weekend after hitting .263/.366/.471 with 15 home runs and 33 steals for Double-A Amarillo.

Impact Walker took starter Ty Blach yard in the third inning to bring Tommy Pham around to score and get the Diamondbacks on the board. Druw Jones - Activated off minor-league IL Jones (hamstring) was activated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday at Single-A Visalia, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Impact Jones originally landed on the minor-league injured list way back in April because of a right quad strain and then strained his right hamstring in late July as he embarked on a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League. Selected by the Diamondbacks with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, the 19-year-old outfielder has appeared in only 22 professional games to date. He'll look to finish strong over what remains of Visalia's schedule. Jones could then perhaps make up for lost time with a different affiliate.
