Bryce Jarvis - Gets first call to majors Jarvis' contract was purchased from Triple-A Reno on Sunday.

Impact Jarvis hasn't worked as a starter at Triple-A since July 23, so he has presumably been preparing for a multi-inning relief role in the big leagues. Since exiting the Triple-A rotation, Jarvis has a 10:8 K:BB in 8.2 innings, so he probably won't be trusted in high-leverage situations.

Carson Kelly - Designated for assignment Kelly was designated for assignment Sunday.

Impact Dating back to the start of last season, Kelly is slashing .214/.283/.327, and while he is generally regarded as a solid defender, the Diamondbacks decided Jose Herrera is the preferred backup option to Gabriel Moreno going forward. Given that Kelly is owed the remainder of a $4.3 million deal this season, he will likely pass through waivers and head to Triple-A Reno.

Impact Walker plated the final two runs in the low-scoring affair with his shot to right field in the third inning, helping Arizona end its nine-game losing streak. The first baseman is up to 24 homers and 73 RBI on the campaign, and he has a chance to challenge the career-best marks of 36 long balls and 94 RBI that he set last season. Walker has been hitting well of late, going 8-for-20 (.400) with two homers, a double and five RBI over his past five contests.

Impact Kennedy has enjoyed a breakout season in Triple-A this year, slashing .318/.447/.480 with 46 RBI through 407 plate appearances with Reno. He played 30 games with the D-backs last season with limited success and figures to act as an infield depth piece while in the majors.
