Impact Following his promotion from Triple-A Reno on April 30, Fletcher sat out that day but proceeded to make starts out of the outfield in each of the next seven games, going 9-for-25 with a 2:6 BB:K. Fletcher benefited in part from the Diamondbacks facing a lefty-heavy schedule, and while he should be a mainstay in the lineup versus southpaws, consistent playing time against right-handers could be more difficult to come by while Arizona is at full strength in the outfield.

Gabriel Moreno - Receives rest day Moreno is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Impact Jose Herrera will step in behind the plate for the series finale after Moreno started at catcher Monday and Tuesday. Moreno went 4-for-7 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base between those contests and is now slashing .315/.330/.402 in 97 plate appearances on the season.

Kyle Lewis - Several days away Lewis (undisclosed illness) remains "several days away" from potentially beginning a minor league rehab assignment, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Impact It's almost certain that Lewis will require a rehab assignment before rejoining the Diamondbacks. The outfielder, who is getting at-bats at extended spring training, as not played since April 7. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said there's no established timeline for Lewis' return to MLB.

Impact This marked Davies' first action since suffering a left oblique strain in the second week of the season. The right-hander is on target to pitch again in five or six days, when the Diamondbacks plan to stretch him out to 50 or 55 pitches.

Evan Longoria - Goes deep in three-hit effort Longoria went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Marlins.

Impact Longoria came up a triple shy of the cycle, but he hasn't hit a three-bagger since 2020, so he was never much of a threat for the feat. The homer was Longoria's second in his last six games and his fourth of the season. The 37-year-old raised his slash line to .229/.276/.443 with seven RBI, 10 runs scored and three doubles through 76 plate appearances this season. He continues to be a short-side platoon option at third base and designated hitter.

Brandon Pfaadt - Not much better in second start Pfaadt (0-1) took the loss Tuesday versus the Marlins, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings.

Impact Pfaadt had trouble with Jorge Soler, who accounted for two home runs and five RBI against the Arizona rookie. That's after Pfaadt gave up four homers in his debut versus the Rangers last Wednesday. The top prospect came to the majors with plenty of hype, but a 12.10 ERA through 9.2 innings suggests he may not quite be ready for the show yet. Manager Torey Lovullo said after Tuesday's game that Pfaadt will get another turn in the rotation, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports. That outing is likely to come over the weekend at home versus the Giants, but it's safe to say Pfaadt could have a short leash if he doesn't get his homer problem under control.

Seth Beer - Sent outright to Triple-A Beer was sent outright to Triple-A Reno by Arizona on Tuesday.

Impact Beer was designated for assignment to open up room on the 40-man roster for Brandon Pfaadt. In 79 plate appearances with the Triple-A Aces, Beer has slashed just .200/.266/.314. The former first-round pick will just be a depth option for the rest of the 2023 campaign.
