Jonathan India - Exits early Saturday India was removed from Saturday's game against the Marlins with a left knee contusion, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Impact India was involved in a collision at second base before being removed at the start of the fourth inning. The 27-year-old was scratched from Wednesday's game against the Rockies with the same injury designation. Cincinnati will close out its series against the Marlins on Sunday before the All-Star break.

Carson Spiers - MRI comes back clean Spiers (shoulder) had a clean MRI on Saturday, and he is likely to miss only one start, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Impact Spiers landed on the 10-day injured list Saturday after notching a victory against the Marlins on Friday, but it appears as though he's avoided a serious injury. The nature of the right shoulder issue has been deemed an impingement. Spiers is eligible to return from the IL on July 28, which could line him up to make his next start either in Tampa Bay or at home versus the Cubs.

Nick Martini - Moved to 60-day IL The Reds transferred Martini (thumb) to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Impact Martini underwent thumb surgery earlier in the week, and Reds manager David Bell said at the time that the 34-year-old would be out until at least September. That has been confirmed with Martini's move to the 60-day IL, as he's now ineligible to be activated until Sept. 6. The move also frees up a spot on Cincinnati's 40-man roster.

Elly De La Cruz - Back in lineup Saturday De La Cruz is starting at shortstop and batting second Saturday against the Marlins.

Impact De La Cruz got just his second day off this season Thursday against Colorado, though the rest day reportedly wasn't related to the hand injury he's been managing. That appears to be confirmed with his re-insertion into the lineup versus Miami on Saturday. De La Cruz will look to extend a four-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 7-for-17 with three doubles and three stolen bases.

Tony Santillan - Recalled from minors Cincinnati selected Santillan's contract from Triple-A Louisville on Saturday.

Impact The Reds placed starter Carson Spiers (shoulder) on the injured list Saturday and called up Santillan to take his spot on the 26-man roster, opting to add a reliever with the All-Star break looming. Santillan has logged a 3.38 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 53:24 K:BB over 40.0 innings in the minors this season. He got into three games with the Reds last year, allowing one run on four hits while posting a 5:1 K:BB over 3.1 frames. He'll like serve in a low-leverage role while with the big-league club.

Carson Spiers - Lands on injured list The Reds placed Spiers on the 15-day injured list due to a right shoulder impingement Saturday.

Impact Spiers notched a career-high nine punchouts over five innings in a win over Miami on Friday, but he apparently hurt his shoulder in the process. The right-hander's move to the IL means he won't be eligible to return until July 28. Cincinnati called up reliever Tony Santillan from Triple-A in a corresponding move, but it's not clear who will take Spiers' spot in the rotation following the All-Star break.

Impact India got the Reds ahead early with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning. It was his second home run in three games. India's batting .275/.375/.426 with eight homers, 38 RBI, eight steals and 47 runs through 87 games.

Jeimer Candelario - Goes deep early Candelario went 2-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 7-4 win over Miami.

Impact Candelario hit the second of two solo first-inning homers, as the Reds jumped out to an early 7-0 lead through three innings and cruised from there. The home run was the 15th for Candelario, who extended an on-base streak to 12 contests.
