Jake Cave - Hits go-ahead homer Cave went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Mets.
Impact Cave's fourth-inning blast off Luis Severino was enough for the Rockies to secure the win. This was Cave's second homer in his last five games, but he's gone 15 contests without a multi-hit effort, batting a paltry .189 (10-for-53) in that span. For the season, the outfielder is at a .247/.291/.374 slash line with five homers, 27 RBI, 31 runs scored and four stolen bases over 92 contests in his first year with Colorado.

Victor Vodnik - Earns sixth save Vodnik allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Mets. He did not strike out or walk a batter.
Impact Vodnik has a save in each of the last two outings, and he's logged three of the Rockies' last four saves. This was also his fifth scoreless outing in a row, a span in which he's allowed two hits and two walks while striking out four over five innings. For the season, Vodnik has six saves, six holds, a 3.64 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 53:25 K:BB through 59.1 innings. While he's not fully clear from being part of a closer committee, Vodnik appears to be a slight favorite for saves over Tyler Kinley, who earned a hold with a perfect eighth inning Tuesday.

Kyle Freeland - One out shy of win Tuesday Freeland allowed three runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Mets on Tuesday.
Impact Freeland was pulled after giving up a two-out RBI single to Brandon Nimmo in the fifth inning. Justin Lawrence got J.D. Martinez to ground out to keep the Rockies ahead 4-3, and they led the rest of the way, with Freeland an out short of getting the win. This was just the second time in six starts since the beginning of July that Freeland has allowed more than three runs. For the year, he still has an unenviable 5.65 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 55:17 K:BB over 63.2 innings across 12 starts. The southpaw is projected for a tough home start versus Atlanta this weekend.

Impact Condon is arguably the top player from the 2024 First-Year Player Draft for dynasty leagues, and he will be making his pro debut in the Midwest League. Spokane has a hitter-friendly home park and the caliber of pitching at High-A at this point in the season is pretty poor, so Condon could put up monster numbers for as long as he remains with Spokane. It would not be surprising if he saw time at Double-A this year as well.

Chasen Shreve - Contract selected The Rockies selected Shreve's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.
Impact Shreve was just inked to a minor-league deal Sunday and is now in the majors two days later. The veteran left-hander had previously been at the Triple-A level all season, posting a 2.62 ERA and 35:12 K:BB over 34.1 innings spread across three different organizations.

Impact Shreve is now with his third organization of the season after he previously signed minor-league deals with the Rangers and Yankees before opting out of those contracts. He posted a 1.64 ERA and 0.77 WHIP across 22 innings at Triple-A Round Rock and a 2.45 ERA and 0.82 WHIP in 11 innings at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before enduring his worst outing of the season in his debut for the Rockies' Triple-A affiliate. Cal Quantrill - Another short outing Sunday Quantrill (7-8) took the loss Sunday against the Padres, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two over 4.1 innings.
Impact The Padres worked a run off of Quantrill in the second after they led off the inning with a single and a double that scored Xander Bogaerts from first. Quantrill would later surrender two more runs in the fifth, both off of solo homers from Kyle Higashioka and Jurickson Profar. Quantrill has now failed to go at least five innings in consecutive starts in in three of his last five. He only has one win since June 11 and has been exhibiting some control issues of late, walking multiple batters in five of his last six outings. Quantrill now owns a 4.56 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 92:48 K:BB in 122.1 innings and lines up to face Atlanta in his next start over the weekend.

Brenton Doyle - Goes deep in series finale Doyle went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Padres.
Impact Doyle was able to knot the game at one in the fourth inning with a solo home run off Matt Waldron on the first pitch he saw. It was his first long ball and first RBI of the month after he was awarded the player of the month for the National League in July. Doyle just needs one more home run to become the fifth player this season with at least 20 homers and 20 steals. He's currently slashing .266/.327/.471 with 19 homers, 55 RBI, 62 runs, 21 steals and a 35:115 BB:K in 441 plate appearances.
